As we come to the end of Black History Month, it is my esteemed pleasure to be with you all in my network as we announce FMF 24. This legendary event, taking place March 21-23, 2024 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas Nevada, will forever change the landscape of the creator community in Silver State.
This is important, not just because we would like to see our film tax credit be more competitive with the market and surrounding states, but to show the impact the creator and technology communities can have on the economic growth and development of Nevada.
As many people know, Las Vegas is the “Entertainment Capital of the World” and the “Convention Capital of the World”, however we as creatives, have not had an outlet or a collective that provide resources, tools, and people that help the next generation of award winners achieve their goals. The mission of FMF is to provide a platform that shines a light on the diverse array of individuals who weave the fabric of the quilt of entertainment, that is shared by us all.
This annual event is more than just a headline or gimmick. It is something that is needed to create a sustainable future for the creators in Nevada; however, it will also be a platform to address our concerns as we move into the age of #AI, #Web3, and #AR. It will also provide access to the tools we need to generate more revenue and be more productive.
What is our value as creatives in 2024 and beyond? FMF is focused on finding the solutions to the issues and challenges we face now and the future.
