Pub 🍺 & 🛅 Lockers : as per Statista & YouGov, 50% of Britons go to pub between once per day and once a fortnight. No better place where to install a Locker and meet half of UK population. Stonegate Group, the leading UK largest pub company with a portfolio of more than 4,500 sites, is joining Parcel Pending by Quadient Lockers Network, initial target will be to install 400 locker units across Stonegate’s sites. Quadient's Open Locker Network is already used by DHL, DPD UK, Evri and UPS allowing Customers to pick up and make easy returns. Katia Bourgeais Crémel-Crémel, EVP Parcel Locker Solutions Europe at Quadient, said: “Our vision with the Quadient Open Locker Network is to allow consumers to access lockers anywhere and ideally combine pick-up with other trips as part of everyday life. As established community assets, Stonegate’s pubs make natural host locations." The burgeoning partnership between Morrisons and Just Eat makes sense on many levels, offering shoppers a service which they will be genuinely happy to pay for. Quick Comm works where there is a clear shopper benefit that can be monetised which in turn makes the P&L healthy; it does not work where there is an assumption that shoppers will pay for groceries in a hurry when, let's face it, they don't really need to. Excited to share with you another boss story about how Slerp is helping our amazing partners smash it with their businesses. 🥪 Say hello to Dom's Subs, the go-to sandwich gaff in East London 🥪 Dom's Subs has become a bit of a legend with the capital’s foodies. They're all about great quality and freshness and things were for the most part going great, BUT they were having a nightmare with their old online ordering setup. Before they teamed up with Slerp, they had: ❌ Outdated, clunky tech that was doing their head in ❌ Challenges in growing their brand visibility ❌ No chance to get their hands on valuable customer data They were keen for a change to help them boost their sales and continue to grow. So, we sorted them out with a new online ordering channel, provided ongoing support to help grow their brand and orders and gave them useful data to engage with their customers, helping them target their marketing and make better connections. It has been three months since the abrupt and unfortunate closures of VC-backed convenience retail chain Foxtrot, and this one in the hip West Loop Fulton Market location still looks as if it could be reopened any day, with food items lining the shelves, but what appears to be no plan in sight, only wasted food and great memories of a place I used to frequent for coffee and breakfast meetings, as well as shopping for quick items. A tombstone in the VC-backed graveyard. Could a different investor-base (perhaps non-VC) resulted in a healthier situation for Foxtrot?
