Hello all! As a new private practitioner in 2022 I went through many challenges but the most difficult one was not being able to set clear boundaries. I couldn't ask a client that the session is over even when they used to exceed half an hour over the slot time. I hoped for them to realise and stop talking(insert clown face) but obviously it never happened. Shortly, I understood that this has been creating a sense of resentment in me for the client and that is affecting my therapy work with them. I seeked help, discussed this with supervisor and fellow Psychologists and came to know about the importance of Client Consent Form. Today, I am launching a customisable template of a comprehensive consent form. It states issues like cancellation policy, length of a session and other important things that are necessary to put out there before beginning therapy sessions. I have curated this form to also help out budding practitioners who might be going through similar challenges.
