Larsen & Toubro achieved Consolidated Revenues of ₹ 221,113 crore for the year ended March 31, 2024, recording a healthy y-o-y growth of 21%, facilitated by a strong execution of a large order book in the Projects & Manufacturing businesses. International revenues during the year at ₹ 95,086 crore constituted 43% of the total revenues largely led by a ramp-up in execution of multiple international projects. For the quarter ended March 31, 2024, the Consolidated Revenues at ₹ 67,079 crore recorded a y-o-y growth of 15%. The share of international revenues during the quarter was 45%. The Company for the year ended March 31, 2024, posted a Consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) of ₹ 13,059 crore, registering a robust growth of 25% compared to the previous year. The PAT includes an exceptional gain (net of tax) of ₹ 94 crore, attributed to the divestment of a stake in L&T IDPL (L&T Infrastructure Development Projects Limited). For the quarter ended March 31, 2024, the PAT at ₹ 4,396 crore, registered a growth of 10% y-o-y basis. The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of ₹ 28 per equity share. Exclusive News About Larson & Toubro's New Initiative! L&T fell more than 5% after the Mgmt gave a much lower-than-expected margin guidance of 8.25%. L&T commented that the 9-9.5% margin they reported earlier has changed as the order book composition has changed. International orders are now 40% of the order book vs 20% earlier. International orders have a lower EBITDA margin than Indian orders but the working capital terms are much better. Earlier, when L&T reported higher margins, the working capital intensity was very high at almost 18 per cent of revenue. With the current EBITDA margin of 8.2 per cent for FY 24, the working capital intensity is only 12 per cent - a sharp decline from 18 per cent. This has gone unnoticed. L&T is deploying fewer resources to earn higher profits. Basically, better capital efficiency and higher return ratios. L&T’s ROE is already at 15% in FY24 from 10% in FY21 and they have a target of 18% ROE by FY26. This is the new L&T!
