Recent @Lazard Levelized Cost of Energy (#LCOE) study shows that average levelized costs for new U.S. wind and solar projects showed little change from 2023 to 2024 but have increased significantly since 2021 due to higher interest rates and other cost pressures. LCOEs for new #renewables projects with attached energy storage remain higher than for standalone renewables projects, but the Inflation Reduction Act’s Investment Tax Credit should help stablize that in the near future. #LCOE #energy #inflationreductionact #prospectresources

Rooftop solar PV - one of the lesser known sucess stories in Ireland's transition to renewable energy? it was a great first day of summer 2024 for all of us micro-generators here in Ireland. On an overall system level; Wind generated a peak of c. 590MW yesterday 1st June 2024 - c. 10% of installed capacity. This was due to the high pressure weather system over Ireland and associated low wind resouce. This was however significantly mitigated by the high solar generation resource.
