The government notes that in North America, the industry is trending towards adopting kilowatt-hour pricing, which provides a more transparent, fair and predictable measure of the cost of fast charging. Hydro-Quebec and its Circuit électrique network are slated to be part of this movement. Interesting blog post by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) that lays out why more transmission will benefit the average customer> The main benefits mof expanded #transmission access: 1) enables delivery of lower-cost electricity to more customers, 2) shorter power outages and 3) expanded access to lower-cost electricity for more people.

Our Enterprise Mobility/Xcel Energy 'Airport study' concluded that with a doubling of electricity demand at most US airports (and their surrounding "ecosystem") by 2030, an urgency exists to get utility grid connections underway as these can take 7-10 years to deliver! I would personally argue that its not that #America is "running out of power", its more a case of "no transition without transmission" (and distribution) to get the power to where its needed at the volume required !
