Interns! We're around halfway through the summer, which means it's the perfect time to do a bit of a progress check for your internship. Here a few helpful questions to ask yourself: 1. How am I trending on my major projects? Have I communicated progress and shared major wins/highlights as they've been accomplished? 2. How have I expanded my network? Have I connected with most of the people on my team? What about beyond my team? Have I branched out to other areas of the business that interest me to learn more? 3. What is my personal brand right now within the team/company and is it where I want it to be? With only a few weeks left, how can I continue to build my brand and leave an impression as I prepare to wrap up my internship? 4. Have I made a meaningful effort thus far to connect with my fellow interns? Am I building my peer network? These weeks can fly, so be sure to constantly check in with yourself to measure progress and impact!

Interns: The best 5 minutes you can spend before leaving! It's feedback season! With internships coming to a close, make sure you leave with a clear idea of how you performed. Talk to your supervisors, team leaders, and peers. Also, take some time to reflect on your experience. 📌 Did you enjoy it? 📌 What did you learn? 📌 Did you feel valued? 📌 Was the environment good for growth? These are the important questions to consider as you wrap up the summer. Love this self-reflection prompt from Chick-fil-A Corporate Support Center. Sharing my thoughts below, and would love to hear yours! --- In my first job, a skill I learned that still serves me today is... the value of adaptability. Early in my career, interning with eSports & convention marketing campaigns, I quickly realized that no event or project ever goes exactly as planned. Whether it was resolving unexpected issues like a tardy vendor or finding creative solutions on the fly, expecting the unexpected made all the difference. The fast-paced environment and long hours of the event world have taught me that success often times comes from anticipating needs and taking decisive action quickly. How you react to the curveballs thrown your way is a critical aspect of quality success and leadership. These lessons in adaptability and proactive problem-solving have not only shaped my professional journey but also enriched my personal life. Despite all our planning, we never 100% know what’s coming next - and that unpredictability is what makes the journey exciting!
