Have you ever met someone who gave you the shot you needed? Someone who gave you a chance to prove yourself, and you were able to show them everything you had to offer? I know I have, and I am grateful for that Every. Single. Day.
My partner, Jack Gardner, recently graduated with honors with his bachelor’s degree in Education. Throughout his entire educational journey, he has always worked 3-4 jobs to pay the bills, including:
• Working as an educational assistant for 15 years, continuously going above and beyond the expectations of his title;
• Helping middle schoolers fundraise and develop a charter-wide event that raised many thousands of dollars to assist 8th graders to earn the opportunity to travel;
• Serving as Indy Parks’ lead Inspector for nearly a decade, and has used this experience to train summer staff. He is known throughout the Parks System and is seen as a community advocate in numerous community parks; and
• Bringing diverse audiences together through his self-written and produced weekly trivia show, Trivia Madness.
He is most interested in educational consulting, outdoor recreation/education, technology, staff/public training, and program management. He can build a relationship and find common ground with anyone.
Jack is smart (I know I may be a little biased), he just needs someone to give him ⓞⓝⓔ chance. That's where 𝐲𝐨𝐮 come in - I have a few small requests - in case you might be able to help him get his chance:
1. React to / share this post - even if you don’t know him well. You or one of your connections may be looking for someone just like Jack.
2. If you have worked with Jack, 𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑒 take a moment to leave him a brief LinkedIn recommendation.
3. If you know of a position that might be a good fit, please share it with him, or if possible, help to make a connection.
He is putting himself out there, but the job market is tough. I can assure you that he will bring passion and hard work to any task you put before him.
Thank you for reading, and Happy Monday! 😊
