Play is natural for children. But in today’s world, many adults have forgotten its importance. Children too often lack time and safe spaces to play due to: • Accelerating urbanisation • Safety concerns • Conflicts • Poverty • Intense academic pressure • Overemphasis on structured activities Together, let’s ensure that every child’s right to play is celebrated and protected.
Children should do nothing but PLAY! My son`s wish for last Christmas was that all kids around the world have lots of Lego to play with 😀
Lack of awareness about the importance of play also contributes. Some child caregivers will stop children from playing to prevent them from dirtying their clothes. 😯
