Beware of Ghost Vacancies! 👻 Have you ever applied for a job that seems perfect, only to never hear back? You might have encountered a "ghost vacancy." These are job postings that companies aren't actively hiring for. They might keep these listings up to gather resumes or to show they're growing. It's frustrating, but here are some tips to avoid them: 1. Check Posting Dates: If the job has been up for months, it might be a ghost. 2. Research the Company: See if they have other active listings and recent hires. 3. Look for Clues: Vague descriptions and no specific contact person can be red flags. Stay smart and don't get spooked by ghost vacancies!

Recruiter / been around the block a bit pro tip: Money or title-chasing only gets you so far before a company realizes your talents don't match what you're getting paid to do. I've seen too many people leave stable, successful companies after a short stint. You see their next adventure is a bigger title jump. It's more than the average career transition. Next thing you know, your "Director" level talents don't translate to anywhere else when looking for a job and you're back to looking for jobs based on your actual skill level. Now I'm not knocking trying to get ahead in life, but don't always chase the golden goose. Sometimes it's better to stay, grind, and build than to chase the next best thing that comes across your email. BTW, come build, bring and stay NICE.
