Yesterday, Ruter As's board of directors experienced the future of transportation as they were delivered to their meeting by autonomous vehicles. We at Holo are proud to demonstrate how smooth and safe our operations have become on the varied streets of Grorud, Kalbakken, Alna, and Høybråten. Their HQ is in Croatia, so operations will start there, with plans in the future to have robotaxis in the UK and Germany. Details remain scarce ahead of its unveiling, but the robotaxi is understood to be capable of driving entirely without human input 🤖. Looking forward to seeing the developments this year and seeing if the goal is achieved to commercialise robotaxis where people are very divided about autonomous vehicles on roads. #autonomousvehicles #robotaxis #futuremobility

Passengers for Inverness airport will be able to test out some rather futuristic transport to help connect the railway station and the airport terminal building this week. The Auto-Pod is one of two autonomous vehicles being tested in Inverness, as part of a project to assess the feasibility of bringing an on-demand, low-cost connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV) service to the region. This project is funded by Innovate UK and the UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) and is a collaboration between the University of Glasgow, the Highlands and Islands Transport Partnership (HITRANS), Aurrigo International plc, Stagecoach North Scotland, and Darwin Innovation Group Ltd. Autonomous vehicles (AVs) are taking the world by storm, and May Mobility is one of the companies at the forefront of this revolution. The Toyota Motor Corporation- and BMW Group-backed startup has raised hundreds of millions from some of the biggest names in the auto industry. This is a major development in the AV industry, as it shows that May Mobility is taking a different approach than some of its competitors, such as Cruise and Waymo. These companies are focused on deploying massive fleets of AVs in major cities, but this has been a costly and challenging endeavour. May Mobility's approach is more focused and practical. The company is working with mid-size cities to deploy AVs in a more targeted and cost-effective way.
