🥂 We got the good ending! Last Wednesday was the deadline for submitting RoboCup Team Description Paper (TDP) and video demonstrations, which are required to qualify for the competition, and we made it on time with just 2 minutes left on the clock! You can check out the video here: https://lnkd.in/gGRaBWiv
🙏 We couldn’t have done it without our extremely dedicated members working sleeplessly for several days, and lots of support from partners! We received huge financial support from TU Delft Robotics Institute Institute and BGlobal, amazing industrial cameras from GeT Cameras, lots of components from RS, high-quality brushless motors from Nanotec Electronic, motor drivers from STMicroelectronics and office space from RoboHouse. Lastly, we also received help and support from fellow SSL teams RoboTeam Twente and TIGERs Mannheim. Thank you all so much!
💤 It was an intense crunch but was also a lot of fun; the energy was high throughout the entire crunch, and it surprised us how much progress was made in such a short period of time. No pressure no diamond. This was a great milestone to hit, and we are excited to continue developing the robots, but not without some well needed break of course ;)
😄 Now that the big deadline is over, we are ready to receive more members to take with us on the journey to RoboCup! If what we do has spiked your interest, please visit our website (https://lnkd.in/g2D6fUK5) for more information and see the sign-up form, or shoot us a DM or email if you have any questions!
Hope to see you at RoboCup Eindhoven ;)

Last week NIRA attended TRB for both winter and summer purposes. This week we are having a pure winter conference in the region inventing snow and winter maintenance; northern Scandinavia, Bodø hosted by the Norwegian DoT.
As a continuation on the previous Scandinavian projects WRIP is the running winter maintenance project for innovation and implementation. Today's topic is friction from different sources and how to use it. Henrik Thunberg explains what NIRA does and how connected vehicles elevate winter maintenance for preventive, live, and forensic viewpoint.

Congratulation Benoît for your first race on your flying vessel at the mini Fassnet !
At Hader Solutions & Distribution LTD, we take pride in supporting individuals like Benoît Alt who embody the core values important to our company.
Why embark on an extensive new boat project that will require significant energy and consequently have a considerable impact on our environment when Hader716 is already a high-performing vessel? With updates incorporating new technologies, HADER 716 will fly across the oceans during the upcoming Mini-Transat La Boulangère.
We can draw parallels, for instance, with our latest development, HADER REFLEX, a patented technology that combines dental implantology with dental attachment systems.
While older, it's far less invasive and simpler to implement, with a significantly lower energy footprint.
By leveraging existing assets like the Hader716 and enhancing them with innovative technologies, we can achieve our goals sustainably while minimizing environmental impact.

After its first race of the year last week (the MINI FASTNET 2024), we are thrilled to introduce our latest project: the Hader 716, a CLASSE MINI 6.50 boat owned and skippered by Benoît Alt. In partnership with Hader Solutions, which gives the boat its race name, we have transformed this sailboat into an ecological and innovative masterpiece through upcycling. 🚀🚀 🌊✨
The #hader716 is not just a high-performance boat; it is an example of sustainability and innovation. This partnership embodies the philosophy of Hader Solutions: innovating by preserving old technologies and integrating them with new and future dental advancements.

Got soccer fever? See how students of the Robotics Student Association Delft Mercurians (NL) are getting their prototypes ready for the RoboCup! The autonomous robots must perform with precision and at high speed while complying with physical restrictions and rules similar to those of "real" soccer. To meet these challenges, Nanotec supports the TU Delft students by providing several flat DF45 external rotor #motors and high-resolution NME2 #encoders. https://lnkd.in/dEzC_R-D
Here’s a quick question for you. How do you test a G-Class? With another G-Class, of course!
That’s exactly what we’ve done in this film. You’ll be magically transported back to the 1980s when you see the legendary G280 GE tackling an off-road course alongside a prototype of the new, all-electric G-Class.
There’s a twist because this is no ordinary vehicle test. It takes place on the mighty Schöckl mountain trail – a treacherous, 5.6km gravel track in Austria with 60-degree gradients, brutal terrain and stomach-churning drops to the valley below. Every #MercedesBenz G-Class has to reach the top of the Schöckl before it’s passed for series production. So the race to the 1,445-metre summit is crucial.
Naturally, both vehicles conquered the climb with ease and have the badge on the inside of the A-pillar to prove it. They are what we call “Schöckl-proof”.
This is just the start of the story. Part two of our G-Class testing series is set in the 1990s. I’ll share it with you soon. Until then, enjoy the ride.
