We've increased the overall Mineral Resource of our Kookaburra Gully Graphite Project (KGGP) by 87%, making it the second largest graphite resource on the Eyre Peninsula, confirming our strategic position in Australia’s premier graphite province.   The upgrade is driven by the inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate for the Kookaburra Gully South-West Extended of 5.12Mt at 4.86% TGC (Inferred) and 0.58Mt at 7.73% TGC (Indicated) for total of 293,900 tonnes of contained graphite. The overall KGGP contained graphite has increased by 80% to 896,000 tonnes. A significant strike extent remains untested, with the potential for resource growth.   A three-month drill programme will begin, with an updated KGGP Feasibility Study at higher planned throughput due in the second half of CY24.   CEO Jonathon Trewartha commented: “This is an amazing result for Lincoln Minerals at our Kookaburra Gully Graphite Project, with this important upgrade coming from the South-West Extended deposit, clearly demonstrating the significant scale potential of Lincoln’s Kookaburra Gully Graphite Project.   This significant MRE upgrade now positions Lincoln Minerals with the second largest known graphite resource on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, underscoring the region’s strategic characteristics, as Australia’s premier graphite province.   I am confident that the addition of this inaugural resource, when combined with the next three months drilling at our high-grade Kookaburra Gully and Koppio Deposits will deliver us a resource to support a potential 10-year life of mine at significantly higher production than the 2017 Feasibility Study, which was based on a production rate of 35Ktpa graphite concentrate, and which yielded a IRR of 33%1.   The resource upgrade provides strong momentum for our plans to commence an update to the Feasibility Study expected to commence mid-2024 and is scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2024.”   Read the full ASX Announcement here: bit.ly/4adPGgm #ASX #ASXNews #MiningNews #graphite #LML #Lincolnminerals

STRATEGIC METALS: AUSTRALIAN RESOURCE MINISTER TO VISIT US AND CANADA THIS WEEK - Madeleine King aims to promote a green surcharge for Australia’s resources in hopes of making it more competitive. Australia’s Resource Minister Madeleine King will visit the U.S. and Canada this week to attend conferences and hold talks on critical minerals, supply chains, and decarbonization, according to a press release. King will first attend two conferences on opportunities and challenges for the mining industry in Canada’s largest city, Toronto. Following the conferences, King will meet with her Canadian and, later this week, U.S. counterparts to promote Australia’s mining sector and emphasize the high ESG and safety standards in the industry Down Under in an effort to get them on board a green surcharge for critical minerals. “The prices paid for our minerals need to recognise that Australian workers enjoy the best conditions and the highest safety standards,” King said. The minister has recently expressed that she sees a growing discrepancy in some Western nations between the demands for sustainability and the price people are prepared to pay for the needed critical minerals. CANADA: CENTERSTAGE FOR CRITICAL MINERALS THIS WEEK - Besides King’s visit, Canada also hosted a Minerals Security Partnership (MSP) meeting in Toronto on Sunday, the Korea Times reports. Led by Jose Fernandez, U.S. Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment, the members agreed to boost the policy support for 23 case projects on extracting, refining, and recycling critical minerals. Under the MSP, 13 countries and the European Union joined forces in 2022 to address critical minerals supply chains and connected challenges. Although rare earths can be found in as many as 200 types of minerals, very few exist in deposits that are economic to extract. In view of recent geopolitical shifts, Nova Minerals Limited (ASX:NVA, OTCQB:NVAAF) has started bulk testing of stibnite – antimony – material at its flagship Estelle Gold and Critical Minerals District in Alaska. The move is part of the company's strategic preparation for near-term antimony production, as it aims to capitalise on the demand for domestic antimony supply in the United States. A total of 2,500 kilograms of antimony-rich stibnite material has been collected from the Stibium prospect, while an additional 500 kilograms was sourced from Styx. These bulk samples will undergo metallurgical test work to develop a process flow sheet and plant design. The company is considering a fast-track, standalone antimony production scenario, with the potential for gold credits as an added benefit.
