Methodology: 🔍 Applied qualitative methods. 🎙 Conducted online interviews with a Ferrero manager. 📊 Utilized primary data sources and referenced the 2022 Ferrero Sustainability Report, company website, interviews with key executives, and insights from the "Sustainability Forum 2023". We had the privilege of engaging with industry experts, including Mr. Giuseppe Antonio D'Angelo, Chief Business Officer Europe, and Mr. Matteo Mattei, Vice President Institutional Affairs and Corporate Communication at Ferrero. Their perspectives added depth to our analysis. I am entering my final days as the CEO of Unilever Prestige after 12 years at the helm of this beautiful business. During my final global townhall this week I reminded the teams that a business isn’t just one person, it’s all of us together who make the magic happen - our brands, our founders, our consumers, our employees, our customers, Unilever our mother company. If I could leave any words of wisdom to my teams as I move on it would be these: ⚡ Lead with the standards you expect of others. High performance, dedication and motivation needs to be modelled by everyone. Expect high standards by demonstrating what it means to show up and deliver. Start by never expecting less from yourself and that ethos will spread to everyone you work with. ⚡ Create an ecosystem of happiness within your workforce. A team who cares, who are kind, and who work together are the ones who will win. Care about each other, care about your brand, care about the founders mission and care about your consumer. ⚡ Stay obsessed with the consumer and the market. Being at the bleeding edge of culture has never been more important. Landscapes are changing at lighting speed and it’s important that we are anticipating the changes and are prepared and agile to pivot. ⚡ Remember we are here to build brands for the future. This means never taking short term compromises that may damage long-term health, focus on long term quality growth. Be a business-pleaser, versus a people pleaser and always serve the business and the consumer as THE first priority. Today, Lindt & Sprüngli has reached a very important milestone: The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has verified our net-zero science-based targets by 2050. The validated #targets signify the Group’s contribution towards achieving the objectives of the Paris Agreement, which aims to restrict the global temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels. Our ambition to achieving science-based climate targets will drive us to innovate and seek exciting new opportunities across our products, operations, and value chain. Most of the #emissions in Lindt & Sprüngli’s carbon footprint come from activities that are not under our direct operational control. 1️⃣ Therefore, we focus on reaching a deforestation-free supply network and helping farmers to carry out more environmentally #responsible agricultural practices. 2️⃣ Simultaneously, Lindt & Sprüngli is working towards reducing emissions from its packaging and supply chain by exploring #sustainable packaging solutions and prioritizing lower-carbon transport options as well as optimized transport routes. 3️⃣ Furthermore, we will continue to expand our existing low-carbon energy sources in our direct operations and implement strategies to reduce energy consumption. We are excited to embark on this ambitious journey and contribute to the goals of the Paris Agreement. L’Oréal Groupe has received the triple ‘A’ rating for 2023, making it the only company in the world to receive it for 8 consecutive years. • From commitment to engagement, the CDP rating reflects all our actions in environmental transition within three action fields: ➔ Addressing climate change ➔ Protecting forests ➔ Ensuring water sustainably • This illustrates a concrete level of progress on our L’Oréal for the Future 2030 commitments. In 2023, only 10 companies achieved triple ‘A’ out of over 21,000 companies scored and it gives me great pride to know L’Oréal continues to be in the forefront advocating this change!!
