Yes #weareFerrero and YES I am very inspired by the long term vision of this company, which is reflected in the care for our environment, communities and our people. Very proud to share the 15th Sustainability report of Ferrero showing  important progression in the 4 key pillars of our strategy:  Protecting the environment, Sourcing ingredients sustainably, Promoting responsible consumption and Empowering people. The report is extremely rich, so check out the full version below, but here I leave some highlights: 98% of our palm oil is traceable to plantations, thanks to an amazing program of satellite monitoring that aims at preventing deforestation. The Kinder Joy of Moving program has reached 60 million kids since its launch in 2005 (more than 3.4 million in 2023). Our Global Parental Policy, launched in January 2022, is now in place at all Ferrero locations, it offers paid leave and other benefits to new parents and caregivers, regardless of gender. We have defined a global minimum duration for parental leave for all employees: 16 weeks for primary caregivers and 4 for accompanying caregivers. So much more! #proudferrerian #weareferrero

For the second consecutive year Beiersdorf joins CDP’s prestigious “Triple A List” – a list of companies, which demonstrate best practices in addressing environmental impacts throughout their value chains. It is such a great recognition to be amoung the top 10 companies wordwideout of over 21,000 who participated in the ranking.   It affirms our strong efforts to improve the environmental performance of our product portfolio and decarbonize our business as a whole and is a testament to our conviction to drive the sustainability transformation of our industry, while exciting our consumers and delivering exceptional results. Sustainability is not just a business imperative, but also a moral responsibility. We have to holistically care for the planet that sustains us and the communities that rely on it. We are committed to working with our stakeholders to develop and implement innovative solutions that will help us reduce our environmental impact.   This transformation cannot be achieved by single companies working in isolation. It requires a united effort of industry leaders, collaborating to share knowledge, innovate solutions, and drive systemic change. L’Oréal Groupe has received the triple ‘A’ rating for 2023, making it the only company in the world to receive it for 8 consecutive years. • From commitment to engagement, the CDP rating reflects all our actions in environmental transition within three action fields: ➔ Addressing climate change ➔ Protecting forests ➔ Ensuring water sustainably • This illustrates a concrete level of progress on our L’Oréal for the Future 2030 commitments. In 2023, only 10 companies achieved triple ‘A’ out of over 21,000 companies scored and it gives me great pride to know L’Oréal continues to be in the forefront advocating this change!! Rather than simply share my notes, I'd like to expand on how these sessions have made me reflect on my previous experiences to date. With day 2 ending, I would like to share my personal highlights from key speakers and what inspired me. Firstly, Nestlé's workshop led by Daisy Thompson and Juetong Liang focused on sustainability strategies in place, as they shed light on the important topic of climate change, and how collaboration on every stage of production is key. They touched upon the schemes in place to ensure there is understanding, initiative and execution across Nestlé's products. From farm owners, to suppliers and collaboration with supermarkets such as Tesco, Sainsbury's and Co-op, the detailed insight highlights the importance for: 📈 Upskilling commercial teams 🤝 Sharing learning across partners 🏞 Joint volunteering ✅ Logistical improvements and efficiencies ♻ Sustainable execution With these collaborative initiatives, pairing these core strategic elements with climate and sustainable sourcing schemes are crucial to meet the ambitious goals set by Nestle. These include the Cocoa plan, First Milk, the Nestle wheat plan and the Nescafe plan 2030. Another session from today that caught my attention is AB InBev's Sales Director, Marie Fukuura, and her talk on the landscape of the beverage industry. Her main points revolved around the differences between on-trade and off-trade sales in regards to marketing, as well as the impact of Covid-19 on the beverage industry as a whole. I felt I learned a lot in this session regarding market research. It led me to reflect on a previous undertaken university project where I led my team in creating and marketing a new craft beer. When applying Marie's insight to my previous project, I believe the addition of outlining potential portfolio priorities and leveraging new insights into consumer trends would have improved the project all together. In conclusion, just as both Marie Fukuura and Aileen Nathan from Mondelēz International emphasised, curiosity is key, and being able to put yourself out there and deal with difficult situations is crucial in a professional setting. This shift not only aligned Nestlé with global trends but also mended its image as a responsible corporate citizen. The results of Schneider's symphony were nothing short of transformative. Nestlé experienced a revival in both financial performance and public perception. Sales climbed, and the company's strategic realignment positioned it as a forward-thinking industry leader. As we reflect on Nestlé's journey, it prompts contemplation on the dynamic interplay between leadership, adaptability, and corporate responsibility. Nestlé's redemption under Mark Schneider serves as an inspiration for businesses navigating challenges, showcasing that even industry titans can reinvent themselves with the right leadership.
