Recently we launched a free product that helps detect fake emails called Email Checkpoint. We've seen some neat applications of the product, though my favorite thus far has been from an AI SaaS product with free trials. Upon sign-up, Email Checkpoint highlights numerous risk attributes for email; sign-ups with attributes such as temporary domains and invalid MX records get routed only to paid options. It was a simple workflow developed in 15 mins that will help the app: - Better understand their account base - Reduce the cost associated with free trials - Potentially convert customers who keep making fake accounts All from a free tool. Identifying web site visitors has been around for a while. RB2B has made a big splash with tech... Then recently, Apollo.io announced the same capability. And most recently, Instantly.ai. So here is why the Instantly launch could be a really a huge deal... 1) Its integrated directly into the outbound platform...no APIs needed 2) Tons of Instantly users also use Clay, me included. Why not spice up your copy or add some lead enrichment to your newly discovered visitor. 3) Slack notifications and LinkedIn data is part of the package 4) This opens the door for more personalized video, send your new lead a personalized video with Sendspark or Reachly 5) TIming matters...this is a signal of interest, actionable signals drive conversions. We just got a 19.64% uplift in MQLs on my client's website. The most important factor? We didn't approach the project as a one-and-done event. We approached it with the intention of iterating. In our first attempt, the results were flat. There was a tiny uplift, but it wasn't statistically significant. It was a non-result. We learned from the first test, made some changes, and tested it again. This time we got the results we wanted. The lesson? If you want to improve your conversion rates, you have to iterate and experiment. I've been hired by many companies to "optimize" a landing page as a one-and-done project. Sometimes we got great results. Sometimes we got bad results. Often we got flat results. This is why I've pivoted my business to focus on iteration and learning, rather than updating a bunch of pages at once and praying for good results. If you're a B2B SaaS growth team running A/B tests on your website or landing pages... ...and you could use help figuring out how to run better experiments that are more likely to win, we should chat.

Here's a breakdown: API - making a manual request when you need something. eg: Adding leads from Clay to your Smartlead/Instantly.ai campaign Webhooks : getting notified when a specific event happens in realtime. eg: a slack notification as soon as you generate a positive lead. Use APIs when you want to manually push/get data. Use Webhooks when you want to get notified as soon as a specific event has occured

It was a headache for our team and it was definitely skewing our results. So we took following steps to ensure this never happens again! Klaviyo was under attack recently with some AI bots as well. So these steps can save your funnels too! How you should Tackle fake email bots: - Integrated ZeroBounce software to get 99% validation of addresses in real-time before they entered my system. - Included a CAPTCHA field to block bots and reduce automated signups. - Established a Set of segments that will automatically identify & filter out your bots through a separate funnel for future.
