We want to bring back today a visionary approach to urban living, that defied convention. The result? The award-winning entry, "The Endless City in Height," which clinched the top spot in the SkyScrapers & SuperSkyscraper Competition in 2014. At its core, this groundbreaking concept stems from the recognition that cities are evolving vertically, not just horizontally. This bold departure from tradition sparked a paradigm shift in urban design, challenging us to create a living space that seamlessly integrates with the natural flow of urban life. What sets "The Endless City in Height" apart is its meticulously crafted spatial design. The interplay between public and entertainment spaces forms a dynamic, interconnected tapestry that fosters vibrant discussions, meaningful interactions, and a sense of community. This carefully curated environment not only encourages dialogue but also lays the foundation for the creation of a true vertical city. #UrbanInnovation #VerticalCity #FutureOfUrbanLiving #SkyscraperDesign #InnovationInArchitecture #EndlessCityInHeight

Demystifying Adaptive Reuse: A Sustainable Design Revolution 🔄🌿 Adaptive Reuse is transforming the architectural landscape. But what exactly is this concept? It's about giving existing structures new purpose, from offices to living spaces, while preserving the historical charm and context. As urban areas grow, the focus has shifted to sustainability and effective land use. That's where adaptive reuse comes in — by refurbishing old spaces, we reduce waste and carbon footprints, conserve resources, and foster heritage preservation. Famous US projects include New York's High Line, a former elevated railway turned into a public park and San Francisco's Ghirardelli Square, a chocolate factory converted into retail spaces. But adaptive reuse shows no limitations: In Texas, successful projects span across Dallas' South Side on Lamar, Fort Worth's Sundance Square; Austin's Seaholm Power Plant; and Houston's Buffalo Bayou Park. Embrace change while cherishing history; celebrate sustainability with adaptive reuse! #AdaptiveReuse #SustainableDesign #HistoricalPreservation #TexasPride #UrbanRevolution

Here are some reflections we've cultivated over time on highrise buildings, aimed at enhancing the human experience. Take a moment to have a read.
We perceive highrise buildings as functioning on two distinct scales. One scale pertains to the human perspective, while the other involves its towering stature within the city skyline. Often, the human scale is neglected, lacking proper articulation. We advocate for a pronounced articulation of the building's base, as it fosters a more compassionate human environment. Our observation is that office buildings often privatize surrounding spaces. This led us to ponder: How can we cultivate a more inclusive, communal tower that shares its amenities openly? One that is generous to both its neighbors and occupants. Hence, we've conceived a dual-purpose structure: a public edifice intertwined with an office space. Together, they give rise to a novel hybrid, dubbed City First. The southern facade of the building is meticulously planned as an active photovoltaic surface right from the outset, rather than being an afterthought. This integration seamlessly combines electricity generation, shading, and architectural expression into a unified design. Competition proposal for #HBreavis for their central Berlin site. #highrise #tallbuildings #photovoltaic

Do you know about the power of pods on a corporate campus? While relaxation and collaboration are definite goals when considering design ideas for the corporate campus, so is productivity. Sometimes this requires some separation from the masses. @alcatel_lucent_enterprise incorporated patio pods into its landscape design. These pods give a feeling of community while also providing some separation, so groups can collaborate without distracting each other. ____ #alcatellucent #sponzillilandscape #murryhill #nokia #corporatecampus #commerciallandscaping #landscapingservices #designideas #landscapedesign #commerciallandscapingcontractors #landscapemaintenacecompanies #corporategarden #greenroofs #outdoorspace
