Can a clinical study produce a false result, and if so, under what conditions……Find out at the RBQM Symposium……. The ACDM: Association for Clinical Data Management is delighted to announce that Marcin Makowski of GSK will be presenting the session “Breaking the simplest trial ever” at the 2nd Annual ACDM Symposium on Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM). RBQM is designed to ensure the protection of participants' rights and well-being while also maintaining the reliability of study results. This raises a crucial question, which will explored during the workshop: Can a clinical study produce a false result, and if so, under what conditions? The session will begin by conducting the simplest clinical trial possible, live and with active audience involvement. Throughout the trial, various disruptions will be introduced to observe if and how the results are affected. Following this, you’ll engage in group work to analyse publicly available data from two other trials. Together with the presenter, you’ll assess whether these studies exhibit similar issues to those introduced in the live trial. Will the studies appear flawed?
