Sure, UN reports are cool but you know what really drives climate action? 𝗦𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀. 🍪 🌎 It's vital that social and environmental movements include everyone. Making them more accessible has been a focus of our work at Hubbub. Here's a golden rule we've learned: whether you’re hosting a community event, running a focus group, or rallying volunteers – 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗱. 🍛 Food is nourishing, inviting, and motivates people to attend or be involved in something. ↳ You know, like the big meeting that's made easier because lunch will be provided?  🍝  Mealtime activities fit into people's schedules without requiring extra time they might feel they don't have (and it keeps the kids busy!). 🍰  It makes us happy! And when we’re happy and connected to our community, we’re much more likely to take action to look after it. Food has huge cultural significance: the type of food you share sends a whole set of messages. But that's one for another post 😉.
