This is one of best brand campaigns I’ve seen all year in the fitness & wellness space 👇 In this Gymshark campaign called “We Do Gym” the message is clear ➡️ they are a GYM activewear brand. Their target consumer is in the gym, lifting weights. They aren’t a lounging athleisure brand like Lululemon and Alo. Or a sports brand like Nike and Adidas. This campaign is relatable, humorous, and really captures the niche nuances of gym culture. The campaign has lines such as: - “Never skip egg day” - “The real pain starts 2 days after leg day” - “The brand who gets pre-workout zoomies” - “Chicken, rice & broccoli for dinner again” - “Squat Rack, shorts hack” Anyone who’s gotten into gym culture, knows these are spot on. This speaks perfectly to Gymshark’s target customer and the position they want to be in. Now it faces big competition Lululemon, maker of the pricey yogawear sported by seemingly everyone from Pilates moms to college students to preteens in the US, is at a crossroads. For over a decade, the company has fought off competitors like Athleta and Nike to dominate the luxury athleisure market, managing to grow despite the lightning rod of controversies that followed its founder. Its soft, colorful, $98 leggings and viral beltbags have attracted an even younger demographic, a huge plus for any retailer.
