The Green Climate Fund has committed $13.5 billion to help developing nations meet their highest aspirations and secure our shared future. With nearly $13 billion in new capital from our latest replenishment, we are ready to double down on efforts to support the most vulnerable, unlock private capital, and deliver transformation as we speed up reforms to be even more responsive to the needs of this crisis. The Independent Integrity Unit (IIU) is a guardian of core #GCF values of transparency, accountability, and impact. They investigate allegations of misconduct, proactively identify and address integrity risks, and raise awareness of GCF integrity policies around the world. As the developing world agitates and awaits for the #Climate #loss and #damage funds. They need to show systems with appropriate direction where they will allocate their own national budgets in the same line of loss and damage. The sustainability of these financing model is questionable. The worries are more when it comes to countries in the red list of corruption, conflicts, and breaking economies faced.
