Today is supposedly 'Blue Monday', often cited as the most depressing day of the year. This reputation stems from the combination of January's cold, dark weather, depleted bank balances, and the fading glow of festive cheer. While this day might serve as a stark reminder, it's crucial to remember that mental health challenges can arise at any time throughout the year. Even if someone appears to be coping well, they may be struggling internally. A simple check-in with colleagues, friends, and loved ones can make a world of difference. It can offer support, encourage help-seeking, and provide a sense of connection and understanding. Remember: Mental health impacts everyone, and it's perfectly okay to not be okay. #mentalhealth #wellbeing #support"

Our inner voice talks to us constantly. 80% of it's not nice. Use 1 prompt for positivity. Be your hype person every Monday. It's when we need one the most. The week's probably filled with: - Long to-do lists - An inbox filling up - Juggling work and life - Meetings that could've been emails - Longing for the weekend that just ended And that can overwhelm and start a doom loop of thoughts. Take a few minutes today and write out some thoughts on this prompt: 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱? Keep your head up. You're going to crush it this week. --------------- PS: If you like good vibes and mental health, follow Troy Karnes

How do you know your flame is burning 🔥 out? I had a manager many years ago that said to watch for triggers. My manager said that sometimes you'll need to focus more on your family than work. Sometimes work will require more energy. She said there will be triggers and you need to listen to them. Listening for those triggers will help you know when you need a wellness day or when it's time to seek counseling. What's a trigger? Triggers often show up physically. I knew something was wrong when I started to struggle with acid reflux daily. I knew something was wrong when I ended up in the emergency room after 3 weeks of traveling. Nightmares are often a trigger. And sometimes a trigger is something or someone else needs your attention. Listen for the triggers. Talk about them with someone you trust. Take care of your mental health. Make changes when needed. #mentalhealthMondays

Are you feeling cosy right now? I don't mean are you all tucked up somewhere warm, with a steaming brew in your hand. The odds are today you're not feeling very cosy, and maybe a little bit awkward, seeing lots of information about today being World Mental Health Day. The truth is, we need to get used to sitting in that awkwardness, to stop worrying about upsetting someone by asking them if they're ok, as the reality is that sometimes all it takes is one person noticing. One person caring. One person stepping into their awkwardness to ask if you're ok. Mental health matters. Every. Single. Day. So if you struggle having those chats, here's something you can do to help.... It’s all about being COSY... · CARE – Show you care – tell someone what you appreciate about them and that the little things haven’t gone unnoticed. Celebrate someone’s success - how you react when someone is doing well can say more about your relationship than how you respond in tricky times · OPEN - Open your eyes – take time to notice who may need something and how you could help. Make it meaningful... what would really make a difference to them? A short handwritten note, a parcel of their favourite biscuits, a book from their favourite author · SHARE – Share something – maybe it is letting someone get to know you a bit more, or sharing your time with them. If you’re having a clearout, don’t skip it... think of who could benefit from your treasures · YOU - Be kind to yourself - what are you telling yourself about the person that you are? Maybe you shouted at the kids a little more than normal this week. Give yourself a break. Smell the roses... yes, literally. Take time out to press pause. And if you ever want to embrace the awkward and get cosy, I'm always here for a good old brew. #bounce #wellbeingatwork #mamamojo

How do you feel in wintertime? ❄️ I’m asking because some of us love the colder weather—the feeling of being snug in our warm clothes 🧥 or sat on the sofa with a fleecy blanket watching Netflix. 🛋️🎥 Winter is often the time for emotional hibernation. 🌌 We box ourselves in. We can be less social and interactive. It can be impactful for some and enjoyable for others. Adjusting to a new routine or getting used to new feelings can be tough. 🧠 The anticipation of the social scene starting once the weather warms up can be exciting and something to look forward to—or it can be detrimental to our mental health. The impact can be stressful. It can create social anxiety going from one stage to the other. It’s important to take time to reflect on how you are feeling, especially during the seasons. 🌱 Take the time to absorb your surroundings. Winter looks quite a bit different to spring. 🌷❄️ What we see often impacts how we feel. Look after yourself and make sure you check in on the people around you. 💛 #WinterWellBeing #MentalHealthAwareness #SeasonalChanges #SelfCare #CheckInOnOthers #WeAllBeam
