Viridis Mining and Minerals Limited has secured another 998 hectares of licences to extend and adjoin the Cupim South prospect and create a dominant land position in the wake of more spectacular results. Recent intercepts up to 23,556 parts per million total rare earth oxide were the highest grades found to date in the region's alkaline complex, providing Viridis a second major discovery in as many months and a taste of sheer scale. "This expansion marks the final puzzle piece in our plan to consolidate a corridor of landholdings between two major resources and bridge Centro Sul to Cupim South. This has increased the footprint of Cupim South from 1.71 square kilometres to a significant combined corridor of 15.75 square kilometres, comprising granted mining licences, which sets up the potential for Cupim South to be an incredible asset for Viridis concerning both grade and scale." – Viridis CEO Rafael Moreno Agha Shahzad Pervez Carly Terzanidis #Expansion #RareEarths #Mining

According to President Lazarus Chakwera, the Malawi government has reviewed several mining agreements over the last few months. As a result of this effort, they have successfully negotiated and signed Mining Development Agreements (MDAs) with Globe Metals & Mining for the mining of niobium at Kanyika, in the Mzimba district, and with Lotus Resources for the Kayerekera uranium mine. In addition, the government is in the process of signing a new MDA with Mkango Resources for their Rare Earth Project at Songwe Hill in Phalombe. Meanwhile, Lindian Resources is set to start developing the Kangankunde Hill, which is estimated to host more than 261 million tonnes of Rare Earth Elements (REE). “Most exciting for Malawi,” says President Chakwera, “is that Sovereign Metals and Rio Tinto have entered into a partnership to develop the Kasiya Rutile-Graphite project.” The project is undergoing a Definitive Feasibility Study and an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, which marks a milestone in advancing Kasiya. KIN Mining NL (ASX:KIN) has discovered ‘significant’ VMS mineralisation at its Cardinia East Project near Leonora in Western Australia, opening up a prospective new base metals belt in the region. Re-logging and laboratory assaying of previously drilled diamond hole IP22DD001, at the Albus Target, has confirmed a VMS signature, with a significant base metal intersection of: This zone of strong base metal mineralisation was intercepted within cherty sediments along a contact of basalt and felsic volcaniclastics, a typical host setting for VMS mineralisation. The discovery positions Kin to be a first mover in what appears to be a new VMS greenstone belt, within a Tier-1 mining jurisdiction. St George Mining Ltd Acquires Advanced High-Grade Niobium Project in Brazil (ASX: SGQ) John Prineas, Executive Chairman, expressed his excitement about the acquisition, stating, “The Araxá Project is located in the world’s ‘dress circle’ for niobium production and presents a tremendous opportunity for St George to become a global player in the niobium market.” “Extensive high-grade niobium mineralisation has already been discovered at the Project – with more than 500 intercepts of niobium grades above 1% – providing a strong foundation for St George to quickly progress to potential resource definition. In addition to niobium, high-grade rare earths mineralisation has been confirmed by drilling over a widespread area.” “The high-grade mineralisation commences at surface and is open in all directions, with excellent prospects to substantially expand the known mineralised footprint. Significantly, less than 10% of the project area has been effectively drilled and there has been limited drilling beyond 50m from surface.” (Quote continues) Read our article below: https://lnkd.in/dh3A2nnM #ree #rareearths #brazil #mining #geology #resources #stocks #asx #sgq

Sayona Mining Limited (SYA-ASX; OTC:SYAXF) New high-grade zones discovered at North American Lithium Sayona on May 13, 2024, announced the discovery and expansion of new mineralized zones at it's NAL (North American Lithium) operation in Québec (SYA 75%; Piedmont Lithium 25%). NAL comprises a contiguous group of 42 mineral titles spanning 1,493 ha, situated near La Corne township in Québec's Abitibi-Temiscamingue region. The NAL operation has a lithium mine and concentrator, with production of spodumene concentrate having recommenced in March 2023. Recall on April 4, 2024, Sayona had announced that, following a detailed review of the NAL operation and a range of operating scenarios, the joint venture partners had agreed to continue the NAL production ramp-up. (see: https://lnkd.in/ep5JHgA4). The 2023 drilling program aimed to increase and secure the resource base of the operation while targeting a high reserve conversion rate. The 26,604m drill program has successfully highlighted the expansion potential of the NAL and confirmed the possible conversion of Inferred resources to Measured and Indicated categories within the MRE pit shell. The newly discovered zones to the NW and NE are also poised to become a focal point for NAL's assessment of future mining options. Initial assessments indicate the presence of high-grade lithium mineralization outside the MRE pit shell which may represent a substantial addition to NAL's resource portfolio and may contribute to extending NAL's life of mine. Over 32 new drillholes totalling 7,817m confirm the potential for upgrading and converting Inferred resources into the Measured and/or Indicated categories within the MRE pit shell. Results suggest the continuity of the mineralization, and an update of the resources estimate should be completed in the near future. Expansion potential is highlighted in the North-West Area; North-East Area, South-East Area from results of 59 new drillholes confirming new pegmatites and extensions of the main dykes from the currently known mineral resource. Andrada Mining’s CEO Discussion at the Junior Mining Indaba Join us for an exclusive highlight from Day 1 of the Junior Mining Indaba conference in Johannesburg, where CEO Anthony Viljoen shares Andrada Mining’s remarkable journey and future prospects with Bernard Swanepoel. Discussion Highlights from our CEO: The Geopolitical Landscape and Critical Raw Materials "This geopolitical situation in the critical raw material space is absolutely phenomenal. We are seeing this not only in the tin but very much so in the lithium." - Anthony Viljoen Spectacular Geology in Namibia "What we found in Namibia is the spectacular geology. This geology is characterised by pegmatite belts. They normally run for a couple of hundred metres and pinch out, but what is unique about Namibia is the scale of these things—they run for hundreds of kilometres." Profitability and Future Potential "The mine is profitable on the tin alone, but the cherry on the cake will be integrating the lithium into the circuit." Ambition and Growth "We have a driving ambition to become the next mid-tier miner emerging out of Africa." Strategic Focus "You want to focus on early cash flows, world-class ore bodies that can expand, and that you can bring into production quicker than others." Watch the Full Discussion Listen to the full discussion from [6:25:00 to 6:45:00] here https://shorturl.at/cY7Bo where Anthony Viljoen delves into Andrada Mining’s strategic milestones and vision for the future. The session captures the essence of how Andrada is shaping the mining industry and its goals to expand on mining in Namibia. #Mining #Lithium #Namibia #JuniorMiningIndaba

"Namibia is particularly well-endowed with resources, and perhaps the most startling observation was the underexplored nature of the #lithium mineralisation in this business friendly jurisdiction." Gino D'Anna, our Executive Director, recently shared insights with Sharyn Macnamara from African Mining about our exploration strategy in #Namibia and our efforts to unlock the region's true value potential. "The differentiator for us in Namibia was the absolute confidence in understanding that we had fertile LCT-type #pegmatites on critical scale with strike extensions and sufficient width in an area that has been historically explored, though not for #lithium." 📰 Read more: https://lnkd.in/dvKkeeje #AS2 #Exploration #Mining #Africa #Resources
