Freelancers should stop pretending they are agencies. First of all, high-value clients see through this. You're only going to get "budget-sensitive" clients who kind of know you're FoS, but play along. Second, you should embrace your strengths as an independent service provider that larger agencies don't have the luxury of. Here are a few: 1. Less expensive - You charge less because you don't have as much overhead or other people to pay 2. Quality consistency - You're executing everything so what you advertise is what they get in terms of quality. With agencies, you don't typically have a single dedicated writer, which means variation in style, skill level, performance, etc. 3. Single point of contact - No communication gets lost in translation. This provides consistency in both communication and expectations. To give you an example, I have 1 client who told me that if things don't work out with me, then they are hiring an agency that costs 3X what I charge (and I charge a lot). BUT they prefer not to because they see me as more specialized than that agency. I landed them as a client because my depth of skill fits perfectly for what they need. Be that person. Not a freelancer with 5 different services and a "team"
