Glad to share that I completed Digitalization in Aeronautics and Space Specialization, and it was a 6 month specialization which consists of three courses Digitalization in Aerospace Industry, Digitalization in Space Research, and Digitalization in Aeronautics. Technical University of Munich, Munich Aerospace conducted this specialization and lectures of professors were interesting for them who want to do research in aerospace. #digitalization #TUM #aerospaceengineering #specialization

Simon is a PhD student at the Institute of Flight System Dynamics at Technische Universität München, where he works on certifiable algorithms for control allocation for eVTOLs. Empowering Innovation: Coldsense Takes Flight in TRACES Program for Advancements in In-Flight Icing Research! Last week, we were proud participants in the TRACES program, a European Joint Doctorate initiative focused on advancing expertise in the field of in-flight icing. Hosted by Politecnico di Milano and organized by Professor Alberto Guardone, a leading expert in fluid dynamics at the Aeronautical Department, TRACES aims to cultivate a new generation of doctoral researchers to address icing-related challenges in aircraft and aero-engines. The program proved to be an invaluable platform for fostering collaborations between industry and academia. Engaging lectures spanned various aviation sectors, delving into topics ranging from fixed-wing aircraft icing to engine icing. Coldsense joined forces with industry leaders such as GE Aerospace, AIRBUS, SAFRAN, LEONARDO, DASSAULT Aviation, and esteemed academic institutions including Politecnico di Milano, TUBS, TUDA, ONERA, and ECPOL. Stephan Bansmer, visiting professor at Politecnico di Milano and co-founder of Coldsense, delivered a comprehensive lecture on "Flying in Icing Conditions," showcasing our commitment to remaining at the forefront of industry knowledge and best practices. EASA's 2019 annual report identified in-flight icing as a priority issue for large airplanes due to the potential disruptions in air operations and aircraft maintenance. This underscores the critical need for ongoing research in this field. Our consulting engineers, Niccolò Oberti and Mina Salehi Marani, actively participated in TRACES, enriching their expertise in the complex realm of icing. I am thrilled and honored to share that on September 5th, I will have the privilege of presenting my Engineering Master thesis titled "Hygrothermal Effects in Aeronautical Composite Materials Subjected to Freeze-Thaw Cycling" at the prestigious AIDAA XXVII International Congress. In this research, I delved into the intricate realm of aeronautical composite materials, exploring their behavior under the demanding conditions of freeze-thaw cycling. This phenomenon, often underestimated, plays a pivotal role in the structural integrity of these advanced materials. Throughout my study, I investigated how hygrothermal effects, resulting from the combined action of moisture and temperature, can impact the mechanical properties and long-term performance of these materials. Today alhamdulillah I completed the first course in the "Digitalization in Aeronautics and Space Specialization" on Coursera: Digitalisation in the Aerospace Industry".   Aerospace plays an important role in the global mobility sector and is one of the main sectors growing robustly in India.   As per an ICRA report, India’s aviation sector is set to have a robust 2024-25 financial year with healthy passenger traffic growth and improving financials and a stable cost environment. However, increased aircraft groundings due to engine woes and supply chain challenges are likely to remain “near-term headwinds” for the sector, as reported.   Now, Bavarian #aerospace is an 11-billion-euro business sector and continues to grow on global demand and its technical prowess. This is why Bavarian Aerospace makes a perfect partner for Indian Aerospace.   The #Bavarian Aeronautical Research Programme is contributing to ensuring the future viability of Bavaria as an aerospace location. NETWORKING: Bavaria offers the perfect structures for networking aerospace companies with research, government, and other companies as well as with potential customers in Germany and abroad. For example, bavAIRia e.V. has been funded by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs within the framework of the Cluster Offensive since 2006.    INNOVATION: Since 2009, Bavaria has been supporting the Business Incubation Centre (ESA BIC Bavaria) at the European Space Agency - ESA, a space-focused business start-up center. The ESA BIC program in Bavaria is the most successful space incubation program in Europe. In the last ten years,  the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs and the ESA have supported 144 start-up companies in the process. These companies had created around 3,500 high-tech jobs in Bavaria and are therefore an important driver for the development of the “new space economy” in Germany.
