Your company updates on LI are pointless. They only matter to two groups: 1.) Your employees 2.) Your already-existing customers Often what you'll find, is these are the only demographics supporting these pages. Wanna bring in NEW TRAFFIC? And use your company page as a publisher for interesting, engaging, fun and valuable content? That's where thinking outside the box of simple "company updates" and humble brags come in. Listen, that's a lot like sending a love letter and forgetting to address it. Before you write another line of copy, let's get crystal clear on who you're writing it for. Take a seat, grab a pen, and let's get into it. Knowing and understanding your dream client goes way beyond demographics. Ask yourself: "What keeps them up at night? What are they Googling at 3 am?" What are they really trying to achieve? What are their deepest desireswhat do they wish for? How do their goals & desires align with you and your values? Two reasons to create an “ideal client persona” that affect HOW you do it… 1 - To create more effective and meaningful messages 2 - To identify how to target them where they show up online I see way too many trainings that miss one of the other. Your ICP is more than some fake demographics and made up interests.

Instead of saying, “Are you a woman entrepreneur with children?” try addressing their daily challenges: "Trying to balance getting the kids off to school with getting ready for that 9 AM client call?"
