The next letter in the name of our my product is "R," and today's short story is about how Bruce needed to demonstrate resilience to finish this project. As the team pushed forward, it became evident that Murphy's laws, particularly the first law - "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong," were in full effect throughout the project. We encountered a myriad of obstacles, from vendor issues to supply chain delays, the unanticipated need for substantial funding, and time. It always felt like when we took one step forward, we were only to be dragged three steps back in the blink of an eye. The second law, "Nothing is as easy as it looks," added a touch of humor to the situation. Friends of Bruce couldn't help but make light-hearted jokes about the seemingly straightforward project that had become a labyrinth of complications. Through it all, Bruce learned an essential lesson about timing in the universe; things happen when they are meant to, and it's important to find peace in that truth. Despite the countless setbacks endured over the past 3.5 years, the team truly remained resilient. The unwavering commitment to perfection and sophistication mirrored the meticulous approach Apple would put into a project they took part in. Bruce was determined to make every detail and function of the new product the best he could for his Tribe. Remember, resilience and determination will be what get you through anything in life. This red apple can tell you EXACTLY who you are... After picking the kids up from School, we popped into our local Sainsbury Superstore. We had forgotten to order our weekly shop and there was no food in for dinner! Whilst dashing through the Isles & at the end of the mad rush, I was hungry! I grabbed a nice juicy red apple, ready to eat. (£0.65 pence). We paid for the shop, left Sainsbury's, put everything in the car and drove home. When we arrived, I realised, I hadn't paid for the apple! Dammit! For a moment, I said to myself, it's only £0.65 pence, and it's only one apple! Then a voice entered my head... 'Amir how you do anything is how you do everything' I jumped back in the car, drove back to Sainsbury's, walked to the self checkout and paid for my £0.65 pence apple. When you convince yourself that you got away with something, or that it's just one apple & that no one will care. You're just lying to yourself. And if you do that long enough, you'll wake up one day and you won't recognise the monster you've become. If I didn't go back to Sainsbury's and pay for that measley apple. What would it really say about me? 'It's the actions you take when no one is looking, that matters most.' I do everything I can to live my life with Honesty, Trust, Integrity, Loyalty & Faith. Even when no one is looking. P.S. Every action we take is a brushstroke in the portrait of our lives. Want to stand out in a crowd? Be a green apple 🍏 Most apples are red, so a green apple stands out. But it's not enough to just be different. Your difference needs to be meaningful. Ask yourself: - What do you offer that nobody else does? - What's your niche within your industry? - How can you uniquely solve a common problem? Then, be that green apple. But don't try to stand out just for the sake of standing out. Be meaningful. Be different. Be you. That's how you make an impact.

Lessons from Apples Over the weekend we went to a pick-for-yourself orchard. These are lessons I have considered after the experience of apple picking. I only picked one apple, the rest of my time was spent helping children identify and successfully pick the apples they saw.    Do: - Eat to the core.  You spent time finding it on the tree, climbing the ladder, reaching even higher with the picking tool just to choose that apple. Enjoy what you worked for, don’t waste it. - Think about who planted the tree long before you came along so that you can enjoy the apple and the experience. Be grateful for their work.  - Shine like a clean and washed apple. People need examples of kindness and character. A shiny and outgoing personality will make a great day for everyone. Don’t: - Be upset if there is a worm or blemish on the apple you chose.  The rest of the apple is great. Don’t let one defect, easily removed, keep you from being happy with the rest of the apple. - Eat the apples off the ground. They waited too long on the tree and fell down, they are already past ripe. Odds are that it will be yucky.  Negativity is everywhere, don’t choose to pick it up.

There are many levels of service. Level 0 is utility - the things we expect and rely on. We expect wood to be solid. We expect metal to feel cold and hard. It's things being things and reliably so. Level 1 is functional - reliably provide the functionality that one expects from it. So it could be a tap that opens and shuts the flow of water. Nothing major, but delivers on its functionality brilliantly. Level 2 is Experience - and experience is the little touches that delivers the functionality in a way that removes the cognitive load of using that functionality. Level 3 is Transformational - you see, experience certain things and it changes everything that you thought you knew and sets a new standard. Level 4 is divine - this is the stuff that is literally and figuratively out of the world, that it dives into the realm of magic in the way it satisfies an emotional, functional and in a sense spiritual need. Apple consistently as a brand lives between experience and Transformational.

It’s never a deal until it’s a DONE DEAL. Rule #1 in business. Signed. Sealed. Delivered. Or it doesn’t mean all that much.
