Meet Associate General Counsel Dwayne Brodie, who has turned his passion for sports into an opportunity to bond with his son and give back to the community. Dwayne has been coaching his 18-year-old son Drew in the Special Olympics for more than a decade, and he was recently named to the Board of Directors for the Special Olympics of Maryland. While Dwayne is proud of Drew’s accomplishments, he notes that “for more than a decade, what is most impactful and gratifying of volunteering and coaching Special Olympics sports, I have witnessed first-hand athletes with intellectual disabilities develop confidence, leadership skills, accountability, courage, compassion, and friendships through sport that will last a lifetime. In my role as a coach and volunteer, I have been inspired by our athletes. I have learned so much from them and I continue to be moved when observing our athletes thrive regardless of their abilities.” Learn more about Dwayne and Drew's story here: https://ow.ly/Nl7h50Sl1mO
