Pleased to have participated in the ACI informative #RegionalAirportConference held in the beautiful city of Dubrovnik! The exchange between the Network Manager (NM) and the regional airport community was truly valuable. Did you know? Currently, 45% of departures originate from airports with less than 100,000 movements annually, yet only 20% are connected to the Network Management Operational Center. Enter ECRA - a now available solution. The objective of the ECRA system is clear: to provide a cost-effective solution aimed at boosting connectivity rates to an impressive 70%, thus significantly enhancing network efficiency. But that's not all. In addition to ECRA, NM offers a diverse array of services for regional airports, ranging from environmental management to sophisticated passenger demand prediction and proactive anticipation of knock-on effects. Exciting developments lie ahead for the aviation industry! ✈️🌐 #RegionalAviation #DubrovnikConference #NetworkEfficiency

👏 Congrats to Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur for completing the initial AOP implementation project at Nice Airport 🇫🇷. ✅ The Airport Operations Data Base (AODB) was upgraded with the deployment of new Resource Management System (RMS). ✅ This implementation project contributed to the full deployment of the #SESAR Deployment Programme Family 2.2.1 'Initial AOP'. 🛫 This project is part of a bundle of projects improving the overall situation at Nice airport, aiming to implement the initial Airport Operational Plan (iAOP) at the airports of Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur. A necessary step to integrate all the changes realised in the scope of the Collaborative Decision Making (CDM) and initial Departure Manager (DMAN). Having an integrated system and service for an efficient management of the airport avoids becoming the bottleneck of the European traffic. 👉🏼 Beside these qualitative aspects together with a bundle of projects at Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur which will generate significant benefits, by avoiding cancellations, improved Arrival Sequencing and Metering Area (ASMA) times and airport Air Traffic Flow Management (ATFM) delays. 🎤 Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Board of Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur: "We would like to warmly thank the SESAR Deployment Manager and our partner RESA ✈️ for their support in the deployment of our Resources Management System which increases our operational performance. This is a major step in our daily involvement for the benefit of the fluidification of the Single European Sky #SES, the punctuality of flights and the #optimization of energy consumption.” ℹ️ ASMA refers to a designated airspace around an airport where arriving aircraft are sequenced and metered to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of traffic as they approach the runway for landing. ASMA times are the estimated or actual times that aircraft are expected to spend in this area, allowing air traffic controllers to manage the spacing and sequencing of arrivals effectively. This helps in reducing delays and optimizing the overall efficiency of airport operations and air traffic control. ℹ️ ATFM is a service provided to manage air traffic flows, ensuring that the available capacity of the air traffic management system is used efficiently and that the demand for airspace and airport services does not exceed the available capacity delays. #SESARdelivers #ATM #modernisation #digitalisation #AsOne #EU CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency European Commission

It was great to catch up Luke Bettis, C.M. at the AAAE #OpsAndTechSymposium2024. I appreciate this opportunity for 'gathering of airport industry professionals to examine the latest issues and solutions in airport operations and technologies' (adapted from AAAE Symposium posting). When we met up in Airside Operations & Safety track, I recalled how you (and our other AAAE CM course group members) shared of your practical airside experience so I could better visualize the knowledge we explored. From here on in, #WeReSULTanize around #AirportSMS.

Aerodromes´ Safety and Security | Regulation | Consulting and Competence-based Training | Aerodrome certification | ICAO USOAP CMA Audit
🌐 The Crucial Role of Aerodromes in Implementing the ICAO Global Air Navigation Plan (GANP) ✈ The International Civil Aviation Organization has developed the Global Air Navigation Plan (GANP) as a strategic framework to enhance the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of air navigation worldwide. While the GANP provides a comprehensive roadmap for the future of aviation, the role of aerodromes in its implementation is often overlooked. In my experience, I have witnessed firsthand the importance of aligning aerodrome development with the GANP and regional air navigation plans. In the SAM (South American) region, the SAM Regional Air Navigation Plan serves as a bridge between the global objectives set by the GANP and the specific needs and challenges of our region. ⛔ However, sometimes due to lack of coordination between experts and/or national authorities, decisions related to aerodrome development at the State level are not always aligned with the GANP or the regional and national plans. This disconnect can lead to inefficiencies and missed opportunities for improving safety and efficiency in air traffic. Inefficiencies lead to more costly, environmentally unsustainable air transport. It is crucial that aerodrome planning and development are closely integrated with the GANP and regional plans. This involves: ✔ Ensuring that aerodrome master plans reflect and support the objectives and strategies outlined in the GANP and regional plans. ✔ Involving aerodrome experts in the development and implementation of air navigation plans at the regional and national levels. ✔ Promoting close collaboration between air navigation service providers, aerodrome operators, ANS and AGA regulatory authorities to ensure a coordinated approach to implementation. ✔ Prioritizing investments in aerodrome infrastructure and technology that align with the GANP and regional plans, such as the implementation of Basic Building Blocks (BBB) and Aviation System Block Upgrades (ASBU). ✔ Providing training and capacity-building opportunities for aerodrome professionals to understand and effectively contribute to the implementation of the GANP and regional plans. By recognizing the critical role of aerodromes in the successful implementation of the GANP and regional plans, we can create a more integrated, harmonized, and efficient air navigation system. The alignment of aerodrome development with the global and regional air navigation objectives ensures that no aspect of the aviation system is left behind in our pursuit of safer, more efficient, and sustainable air travel. #GANP #AirNavigation #Aerodromes #RegionalPlanning #ICAO #ICAOSAM #SRVSOP #AGA
