Tier 1 Assessments (logistics) with McLaren Construction Group The benefits of early engagement. We met with Michael Fisher to visit two planned development sites in the City to observe existing infrastructure and assess associated dimensions, potential impacts, blockers and opportunities. This included: * pedestrian footfall, cycling and traffic flows and facilities * bus routes and bus stop requirements * local business conflicts and requirements * perimeter design * gantries * pitlanes * marshaling methodology * freight routing and regulating HGVs * access management * opportunity crime * TfL process and timescales In attendance were TfL Asset Operations, Highway Licences and Construction Advisory representatives. 🏗️🏢 PHX TOPS IN INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION 🏢🏗️ Phoenix continues to outrank the rest of the nation in industrial construction with nearly 40 million square feet of space underway by the end of June. Several massive projects were contributing to that amount and are soon set to deliver, such as Lucid Group Inc.'s electric vehicle factory expansion totaling nearly 3 million square feet and the new Ross Stores Inc. distribution center totaling 1.7 million square feet in Buckeye. The Valley's supply of construction has remained high in part because of manufacturing projects but also because developments that were previously delayed are now getting closer to being completed. Phoenix has five of the top 20 largest industrial projects that are expected to be delivered in the second half of 2024, including speculative developments such as the Prologis 303 business park, Goodyear Airpark and Luke Field. The largest project under construction in the U.S. that's set to deliver in Q4 is the Hyundai electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Savannah, Georgia, expected to total 16 million square feet at buildout. The nearly 40 million square feet of space is poised to expand Phoenix's supply by nearly 10%, the second-highest expansion compared to current supply in the U.S. #growth #expansion #industrial #commercial #ericcook

Amsterdam, known as the "Venice of the North" is famous for its canals, bridges, biking, and historic attractions. As part of the nation's Oranje Loper program which aims to create more space for pedestrians, cyclists, greenery, and the tram, Amsterdam is making changes to improve public spaces and traffic flows. Dura Vermeer Infra Landelijke Projecten B.V. and Mobilis TBI were chosen to help renovate 2.5 kilometers of road and tram track, including nine monumental bridges. Located in a congested area where people live, work, and play the small construction site posed many challenges. A high degree of expertise was required to reconstruct and refurbish the historic 100-year-old #bridges. Given the project's complexity, the team used #SYNCHRO #4D to visualize and rehearse construction plans to prioritize safety and involve stakeholders in project plans. Working in a connected digital environment streamlined communication and change management, saving 800 resource hours for a single bridge. The digital construction solution provided real-time resource data and identified 25 risks directly from the 4D schedule, accelerating execution and improving safety. Upon completion, the Brugge En Straten Oranje Loper project will ensure a safe, accessible, and sustainable living environment.
