Thoroughly enjoyed the plenary session on “Right to Know Your Algorithms.” The gist of this session: It is crucial to recognize the intricate dynamics between algorithmic biases and human biases in decision-making processes. Despite aiming for neutrality, algorithms can unwittingly reinforce or magnify existing human biases ingrained within their training data.  Key themes - we are surrounded by algorithms. Algorithms are not infallible. We should know how algorithms give the outcomes they give. The right-to-know algorithm in a digital society is akin to the right to information.
