Ad: The New Mobility Congress 2023, which will become the center of sustainable transportation in Poland and the CEE region for the fourth time, kicks off on September 26, 2023. The three-day event will bring together leaders, practitioners and experts in green transformation in six main topic paths. The geopolitical changes and regulations being implemented are affecting the entire new mobility sector. EU markets and the energy economy continue to be impacted by the war in Ukraine, prompting the EU economy to become less dependent on fossil fuel imports. In 2023, landmark legislation will be introduced for the EU electromobility sector, which means that in less than 13 years it will no longer be possible to buy a new car with an internal combustion engine (in the worst case, the exception will be vehicles running on synthetic fuels). ➡ This year's congress is aimed at business representatives and stakeholders from across the sustainable transport value chain. The event will focus on companies and institutions already active in the electromobility market as well as those that have only just become interested in developing zero-emission technologies. The congress will be open to vehicle and infrastructure manufacturers, operators, recharging service providers, technology companies, fleets, transport companies, energy and fuel companies, emerging start-ups and institutions financing new mobility. The New Mobility Congress will also feature an EXPO zone. On 13,000 square meters, more than 200 exhibitors will showcase their technology and solutions. Exhibitors will include BEV manufacturers, importers, dealers, operators and producers of charging infrastructure, financial institutions, companies from the TSL industry, technology suppliers, the IT sector, as well as leaders in the battery and recycling industries. ➡ The New Mobility Congress is a great opportunity for manufacturers from all over Europe to present themselves, their products and services to an international B2B and B2C audience. The event was a reminder of the power that lies in collective efforts.   The collection of road traffic data in Europe increases every year. Forecasts show that the ANPR (Automated Number Plate Recognition) market could grow yearly by 10% between 2022 to 2030 - in today's world, where data rules, it's crucial to understand that if each system collects its information in isolation, it limits our ability to create a broader impact. We must come together and explore the most efficient paths forward.   In Germany, we have a saying, "You don't have to reinvent the wheel, but you can turn it a little further." This sentence holds true in our quest to optimize #database systems. There are countless innovative approaches out there waiting to be used. I just had the unique opportunity to participate in the Sounding Board - a special workshop format having the following core as idea: With the "European Policy Industrial Compass" (#EPIC), H/Advisors Deekeling Arndt and PANTARHEI Corporate Advisors aim to develop guidelines that the new Commission and the new Parliament can use to measure their announced industrial policy actions and be guided by concrete proposals. 🇪🇺 Quite important for innovation driven tech players like us from QUANTRON fighting for decarbonization of transportation but also for all the other participants such as MAN Truck & Bus SE, BMW Group, Huawei, BSH Home Appliances Group, ADAC, Lufthansa Group and many others. We had an intense and exciting discussion in an interesting setting, trying to develop ideas that will be incorporated into the EPIC planned for September. Background: The elections for the #European #Parliament have also ushered in the mandate of the new EU Commission. But how should the new EU Commission's mandate be shaped from an economic perspective? What specific measures are needed to make #competitiveness and #investmentsecurity future-proof again? Christian Böllhoff from Prognos AG started us off with five key tasks for Europe: #investments, #innovation, #labor market, #productivity, and #bureaucracy were the focus. I addressed concrete points such as establishing an #unbuerocratic investment fund to support #innovation and positive disruption from EU side to increase #CO2 improvements, #digitization and therefore benefit for all European #citizens. It was a lot of fun, and I sincerely thank everyone involved, especially Hans-Peter (HP) Kleebinder and Markus Kirchschlager for the invitation and Gilbert Rukschcio for leading through the program with all participants, including: Stefan Gerwens, Maik Böres, Ellen Carey Ulrike Mühlberg, Stephan Sellmaier, Christoph Schuler, Jacqueline Casini, Markus Binding, Miriam Bienert-Kukiolka Hans-Joachim Bues, Dr. Andreas Kießling Markus Gruber, Ingobert Veith.

We’re pleased to confirm that Critchlow Geospatial’s Group Managing Director Steve Critchlow will be speaking about accelerating the electrification of NZ’s vehicle fleets at the upcoming T-Tech 2023 Future Transport conference. _____   T-Tech is hosted by Intelligent Transport Systems New Zealand (ITSNZ) and is NZ’s leading conference for Intelligent Transportation Systems and Tech-enabled Future Transport Solutions, it will bring together decision-makers, experts, innovators and researchers to explore the latest policies, trends, trials and research.   T-Tech 2023 is being held at Wellington’s brand new Tākina Convention Centre on the 26-27th September 2023.   The key themes of T-Tech 2023 are:   ·      Resilience and Sustainability ·      Digital Infrastructure and Data ·      Equity and Accessibility ·      Shared, Public, and Integrated Mobility ·      Electric, Connected, Automated Vehicles.   Steve’s session is part of the Resilience and Sustainability theme/stream on the 26th September at 11.00am and is titled: “Accelerating uptake: Crushing myths about electrifying fleets”.   In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and dependence on fossil fuels, we must increase the pace at which we replace traditional fuel-powered vehicles with electric alternatives.   However, determining the requirements for an electric vehicle fleet is highly complex and requires a range of data that combines the physics of moving vehicles, a digital twin of New Zealand’s road network, route optimisation algorithms that calculate the costs and performance of various fleet sizes and configurations, as well as battery sizes.    Steve’s presentation will bust some myths around the electrification of vehicle fleets and demonstrate how, thanks to the latest technology, NZ organisations can now build solid business cases for switching their vehicle fleets to electric.   Steve will also share some intriguing NZ specific insights into real-world EV energy consumption, range, charging speeds and costs, as well as demonstrating the negative impact that non-waivered Road User Charges will have on NZ’s transition to electric vehicles.   If you’re attending T-Tech 2023 and have an interest in fleet management then don’t miss this session, if you haven’t yet booked your ticket for T-Tech 2023, then you can do so via the link below: https://lnkd.in/gPk2_kVN #ttech23 #electricvehicles #futuretransport
