The comprehensive training covers all aspects such as the key components of dog food as well as how different types of pet food are made, enabling the team to properly inform our customers of their choices and support them to interpret a pet food label. We also present the Lakes Collection itself, sharing the brand’s story and the journey of its development. Each product is explored in detail, so staff can confidently recommend the best option for each type of customer, specifically tailoring to their needs. A fun, interactive quiz reinforces these learnings, ensuring the information is cemented and retained. Additionally, there are user friendly resources including such a cost-per-day breakdown, body condition scores, and related articles to further bolster their understanding. Staff are able to access this information on their shop devices, allowing them to quickly reference the key benefits of our ranges during customer interactions. Created by our in house specialist Scarlett Betts, then trialed and tested by our store management representatives, it has now been rolled out to our entire team members giving them an opportunity to develop their skills whilst building key knowledge to aid our customers to find exactly the right product for them and their pet.
