It's been so amazing to have our Community Engagement teaching artists in the studio gearing up for the new school year with National Dance Institute (NDI) and the MCB dance curriculum! As we sharpen our skills to bring even more creativity and passion to the Explore Dance Programs, we are excited for the new school year ahead and our partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools!

We are thrilled to be performing Alexei Ratmansky's Swan Lake at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in June 2025 alongside the fabulous Pacific Symphony. LEADING WITH PRIDE // We asked Jeffrey Davis, Miami City Ballet Board Chair, to share what Pride Month represents for our organization, and what it means to him personally. "As a gay young man growing up in rural America, I understood there was a fine line between being hated and hating oneself. Luckily, my journey through life has included loving parents, supportive mentors, and deep friendships. These wonderful people, many of whom were in the arts world, showed me the importance of valuing my own dignity, dreaming big, and working hard. This month, as Miami City Ballet celebrates PRIDE and the LGBTQ+ community, my hope is that we can be those wonderful people in the lives of others. May we all gain more confidence and self-respect as we work together for a more harmonious world." His words remind us of the profound impact that the arts can have on individuals and our community by fostering support and acceptance. We hope everyone had a joyful and meaningful Pride Month this June!
