You still have time to choose this. What if you were willing to choose to divert some of the time, energy and attention which you so freely give to others, back to yourself? It can feel selfish, indulgent and frankly just not possible! But what if you don't choose it?? What if you keep approaching life the way you are, allowing the outside world (and the people in it) to determine how you experience it? The Inner Work Summer School is your chance experience how things could feel very different for you if you were willing to invest in yourself. The beauty of this summer school is that you can do it the way that works for you. There are 3 levels so depending on whether you want the flexibility of doing it at times that suit you, whether you know that more structure and a timetable will work better for you or whether there is somewhere in between that it a better fit for you, you'll find an option that works for you. You can dip your toe in the water with the self-guided option or go all in with the immersive option. We begin on 1st July and all the info you need is on my website (link in the comments). Get in touch if you have any questions or simply go ahead and book your place online. #innerwork #investinyou #createlifeyourway

※POV Summer is almost over. While working from home, that means no more random peek-ins throughout the day (or in the middle of a video call) from one of my three girls to blow me a kiss, or give me a hug, or to pat my head and tell me "You're extra weird but extra special." No more lunchtime quick games of Exploding Kittens or Guess Who. The end of summer also means that with my 16-year-old I'll only have 3 more summers and then she'll be off to college. With my middle kiddo, only 6 more summers. And with the youngest, only 9 more summers. My career is rewarding on many levels. I enjoy the constant challenges and being able to expand my knowledge on many key issues that impact my clients. But nothing beats time at home with the family. And so the purpose of this post is to reflect on life--to reflect on the changes that the end of summer brings--and a reminder to be present. My takeaway: Don't get too caught up in how exhausting (and expensive) summer can be for you as a parent. Think about the things you did during the summer that you'll miss when your kids are gone to college or off on their careers. Reflection. (But then again, the end of summer means college football is just a few weeks away! Go Horns!) #reflection #wfh #career

The Importance of Long Summer Holidays for Students and Teachers As the school year comes to a close, it's important to reflect on the immense value of long summer holidays for both students and teachers. These extended breaks are not just about rest and relaxation; they play a crucial role in personal growth, academic rejuvenation, and overall well-being. 1. Recharging and Renewing - For students, a long summer holiday is a chance to recharge their mental batteries. After months of rigorous academic schedules, this break allows them to decompress, explore new hobbies, and engage in creative activities that foster holistic development. 2. Professional Development - For teachers, summer is an opportunity to engage in professional development. They can attend workshops, pursue further education, and refine their teaching strategies, ensuring they return to the classroom with fresh ideas and renewed passion. 3. Family and Social Time - Quality time with family and friends is often limited during the school year. Summer holidays provide a valuable window for students and teachers to strengthen these important relationships, creating lasting memories and a balanced life. 4. Exploration and Learning - Travel, internships, and community projects are common during summer breaks, offering real-world learning experiences that cannot be replicated in a classroom. These activities help students gain practical skills and broaden their horizons. 5. Mental Health - Extended breaks are vital for mental health. Both students and teachers face significant stress throughout the academic year. A well-deserved break helps in reducing burnout and promoting a positive mindset, ensuring everyone returns refreshed and ready to learn. Let's celebrate the summer holiday season and acknowledge its critical role in fostering a balanced, enriching, and sustainable educational journey for all. #EducationMatters #SummerBreak #TeacherLife #StudentSuccess #MentalHealth #ProfessionalDevelopment #WorkLifeBalance #SummerLearning #EduCommunity #TeachingStrategies #LinkedInLearning #Inspiration #LifeLongLearning Feel free to connect and share your thoughts on the importance of summer holidays!
