Knightsbridge successfully facilitated the sale of Berkhamsted Eyecare Ltd (BE), a high-street optical practice in Hertfordshire founded by Peter Sanders in 2016. Known for its comprehensive services and personable approach, BE attracted 28 interested parties through Knightsbridge’s efforts. Five offers were received, with the business ultimately sold to Jackson & Co Eye Care, a family-owned practice in Kent. Founder Daniel Jackson plans to expand his brand, with Peter providing support during the handover. Peter praised Knightsbridge for their guidance, highlighting Ben Hunt’s excellent communication and the dedication of the solicitors involved. On the heels of Barratt, Bellway Homes overtures toward an ailing Crest Nicholson plc make sense for the former, if they are compete with the other big players. Since 2018 Crest has continued to limp forward, with its share price down over 35% in that period. Yet could still be a, potentially beneficial, target for Bellway. It would likely also benefit Crests shareholders. Interestingly, there's notable overlaps in land and markets, including product range, across the divisions... However, to remain competitive, it seems inevitable (given BDW & Vistry's growth) that they, Persimmon and Taylor Wimpey must pursue acquisitions of other smaller NHBs or SMEs... #acquisitions #housebuilding
