‘Landmark’ £200 million Gresham plans submitted “The Gresham project has the potential to play a transformative role in shaping Middlesbrough’s future success." A £200 million regeneration project in central Middlesbrough has reached a “significant milestone” with the submission of a planning application. Developers iMpeC and Buccleuch Property, working with Middlesbrough Development Corporation, plan to transform a derelict site in Gresham with more than 230 build-to-rent properties, student accommodation for over 400 people and a new hotel in what would “see the biggest one-off investment in Middlesbrough in living memory”. GAP Group expands north of the border “The expansion into Scotland is a positive step which will contribute greatly to the circular economy with the new site in Perth supporting the reduction of recycling exports in Scotland overall.” Gateshead-based GAP Group North East Ltd, a recycling and haulage business, has expanded operations into Scotland thanks to a seven-figure funding package from HSBC. Golf tech firm tees up international success “Thanks to UKEF and HSBC UK's support, we were able to access the finance required to bring our technology to a fast-rising capital in the world of golf.” Yorkshire-based sports technology company MIA Sports Solutions is expanding its global footprint after securing a contract in Dubai, thanks to a a £75,000 finance package from HSBC UK, supported by UK Export Finance. The company, which designs and installs golf simulators and teaching studios, will supply five teaching studio bays for the Emirates Golf Club, home of the iconic Dubai Desert Classic.
