Any friends going to GamesBeat next week? I was speaking with one of my gamer friends two days ago. He said gamers don't want to spend so much on games. They're getting savvy about the costs of larger development teams and realizing that doesn't necessarily produce a more fun game. The game industry is catching on too. We're seeing a shift from those massive AAA teams and budgets to smaller, agile groups. These teams are cranking out some of the most creative and fun games out there. Here's why this is awesome: *Creative Freedom: Small teams can try out crazy ideas without the big-budget pressure. *Agility: With fewer layers, they can quickly pivot and make changes. *Cost Efficiency: Less money on development means more focus on making the game fun. Indie games are leading the charge. Games like Palworld and Helldivers prove you don’t need a huge team to create something amazing. Community-driven development is big too. Crowdfunding and early access let players get involved early and shape the game. With tech getting better and tools more accessible, these small, passionate teams are the future of gaming. It’s all about creativity, fun, and innovation now. #GameDev #IndieGames #AgileTeams #GamingInnovation #FutureOfGaming #GamesBeat

🎯 I facilitate investments and partnerships, bridging the gap between business needs and innovative solutions to drive success across diverse sectors.
Great points! With today’s cautious market, studios need to balance creativity with sustainability. Beyond trimming scope, I believe the key is identifying that core experience worth investing in. Early community engagement also plays a huge role, not just for feedback but to show investors there’s a genuine interest. Maybe the real challenge is redefining “success” in a way that values steady growth over blockbuster pressure. What are your thoughts on that?
With the current state of the #gamesindustry and the low-risk appetite from publishers and game funds to commit investments to new games, studios must minimise risks in their projects to enhance their chances of success. But how can this be accomplished? Does it involve trimming scope and budget, conducting thorough market and player sentiment evaluations, surveying themes, settings, narratives, and gameplay before development begins, engaging in frequent playtesting, building a community early on, and using their feedback to refine your games? All of this? What measures are you implementing to mitigate risks and get your games funded? #GameDev #GameFunding

Soft-launch Sonar #4 📡 is back with 10 brand new soft launched games with no particular filter 😅. There are games from a lot of big players in the market such as Century Games, FunPlus, Plarium, MY.GAMES, Zynga, Phantom Gamelabs, Miniclip. Come check out what we caught this time 😎. Century games is going full steam 🚂 ahead into the casual puzzle genre, already with a 3rd game in the genre. For mainly a midcore developer this seems as a great diversification move 🤺. 4X continues to evolve, with 2 new titles from FunPlus. You can already see from the screenshots that they are within the very close theme, similar to Ant Kingdom. (Actually I think "Honey, I shrunk the kids" movie is also a good reference 😅). Similarly to the streak of other 4X games we covered, there are no 4X specific features revealed in the early game. There is also a play on Family Island 🏝 by Plarium and an interesting deck builder by My.Games. The other My.Games game seems like a PvE iteration of Clash Mini, with some additional twists. Let's see how that one will proceed, now that Clash Mini is off the table, 🤞. We also have a continuation of the quick time event racing genre from Zynga. An interesting take on auto-battle with social casino mechanics from Miniclip and lastly an action based RPG similar to Mo.co, by a studio which is also funded by Supercell 😮. Join us as we discuss all of these with 🦩 Matej covering TikTok's older audience 😅 and Felix doing some bid floor, you will need a 🔎 for this one 😎. Data based on Sensor Tower, thanks for the support 🤗 📺 Watch on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/dsdiJgS2 🎧 Listen on Spotify: https://lnkd.in/dq5-bZVp 🗣 Join the discussion in our slack channel: https://lnkd.in/eTGUVrEY #gamedev #gamedevelopment #gamedesign #gameindustry #mobilegames #mobilemarketing #mobileadvertising #userexperiencedesign #userexperience #gamedeveloper #games #gameart #ads #creative #midcore #casual #puzzle

Striking a balance between the necessity for innovation and the constraints of limited funding is essential for advancing the gaming industry. While groundbreaking development can create remarkable player experiences, it demands substantial research and development. This is built into the DNA of our Studio. We've always aimed to push genres in new directions and provide deep strategic gameplay experience combined with hard-hitting narratives that get players thinking in new ways. But we're also self-funded, at least for now, and having the ticking time bomb of our dwindling cash reserves is always at the back of my mind. How do you balance the need for innovation and reaching a vision while keeping costs in check? #gamedev #indiedev
