Lilium is proud to be one of 16 influential European mobility companies that launched the EU Future Mobility Taskforce in a meeting with the European Commissioner for Transport, Adina Valean, last week. The Taskforce’s goal is to match the innovations of these companies with the strategic objectives of the EU. “At the moment, Europe leads globally in regards to establishing the rules for enabling Innovative Air Mobility thanks to the fantastic work of EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency and the European Commission. However, Lilium operates globally and the European players are not currently seeing a level economic playing field. As 2024 is an important year for Lilium and the eVTOL industry in general, it is the perfect time to set up the EU Future Mobility Taskforce to provide input to the EU Commission on this and other topics of crucial relevance to the mobility sector. Lilium is proud to be part of this initiative and is looking forward to working together with the other mobility companies and the European Commission to keeping the future of transportation on top of the EU agenda in 2024”, highlights Daniel Wiegand, Co-Founder and Chief Engineer for Innovation and Future Programs of Lilium, who took part in that meeting. #Lilium #evtol #EUFutureMobility

Another remarkable week has flown by (no pun intended) taking me from Copenhagen through Munich, Toulouse, Paris, Geneva and Lausanne. Always incredibly inspiring to spend time with our partners and investors - you know who you are and that I really appreciate your time and support. Two additional highlights to share: - Being invited by Airbus to Leadership in Focus to discuss how we "Enable the future while operating the present" (Constant Care anyone?) - Being invited by IMD and Salvatore Cantale to teach Corporate Venture Capital (#CVC) at Orchestrating Winning Performance (#OWP) for the second year. Such a joy to have the opportunity to engage with- and learn from executives from all over the world at both events. Thank you for trusting me. Any regrets? Thank you for asking... I fly too much and spend too much time in taxis. Why are European cities not better connected by rail (ideally maglev...)? And why don't all our airports have direct trains to the city center? Have a great weekend y'all. #supplychain #sustainability #9rvc

😍 Are you one of the lucky ones who gets to experience what being part of a transformation impacting a whole industry segment? For the human species, it is in our DNA to see change as a threat. However, change can also create opportunities, such as professional opportunities, like it has for our Product Business Manager, Timo Toikkanen. 👇 In his role, Timo oversees our communications product targeted for authorities and other mission critical users in the defence and space segment. “This industry segment is, indeed, experiencing a transformation and technological shift. The realm of broadband communications has created virtually limitless opportunities for new innovation in our leg of the race“, Timo says. “For me, this transformation is all about the intelligent application of new technologies in the critical communications domain. It’s a privilege not only to witness the change from the front seat but also to be part of it. We are co-creating the future with our customers and users!” We at Airbus talk a lot about the meaning of our work. 🎤 Timo, what is the meaning of your work? “I have always considered that our products serve a greater purpose by supporting mission critical users in the field and thereby contributing to a safer society. This, combined with our colleagues and company culture, keeps me motivated.” “Although we, Airbus, are undeniably a top-tier technology company in the critical communications business, my priority is to ensure the long-term sustainability of our customers’ technology investments and user value.” “Ensuring long-term sustainability and user-value are far more essential to me than riding the peak of the hype curve. Ultimately, it isn’t about the technology itself, nor the buzzwords, but rather what can be accomplished with it.” “The team working on the product can be proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, and we are definitely excited about what’s ahead of us.” Follow us to explore more about life at Airbus Finland! #AirbusFinland #productmanagement #businesstranformation #missioncritical #lifeatairbusfinland #airbusfinlandcareers

Sharing the stage with fellow industry and authority leaders at the panel on electric aviation during the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) Press Luncheon during this year's AERO Friedrichshafen was truly inspiring. It was a privilege to be part of the launch of the report 'Recommendations for Accelerating the Development of the Electric Aviation Sector in Europe', spearheaded by GAMA. Some of my key messages: - #AAM is a truly global industry, and without regulatory harmonization, we will not achieve its full potential. - EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency has become the global leader in providing the first complete and consistent regulatory framework for AAM. Funding mechanisms for EASA need to be further developed to secure that Europe maintains this position. - European leadership in electric aviation can only be maintained with appropriate funding opportunities that meet the need of late-stage deep-tech startups, here in Europe. A really big thing you may not know about transforming a business.👇 “Business transformation, in our case, is moving from narrowband technology to broadband, and it has a significant impact on our culture and ways of working“, tells Jaakko Tolppanen, a Sales Manager at Airbus Finland. According to Jaakko, our business transformation offers us many new inspiring business and career opportunities: “Knowing that we are creating the future is exciting and motivating. We are now the actors in something new that will be crucial for public safety and mission-critical communication in the future .” Airbus has taken this change seriously, and it got Jaakko’s approval stamp. 👍 “We have multiple ongoing change programs to improve our ways of working and ease the transition to the new situation.” 👍 “From the business perspective, Airbus has the patience to take the time and actions required to make a successful change in offering new technology products. People around me are excited to be a part of this change.” How about the future; what does Jaakko believe it holds for Airbus? “I am happy to see how we have already grown to be one of the leaders in the new business. It’s exciting to be one of the players supporting our customers' transition to new technology. We will play a significant role in the mission-critical communication market in the future and will find completely new business areas to work with.” #weareairbus #salesmanager #transformation #AirbusFinland #lifeatairbusfinland #businesstransformation #culturechange #newfuture https://buff.ly/3T4Aw6q
