This week, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a declaration to accelerate progress https://bit.ly/3ENpzOF on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs - https://bit.ly/3ENpzOF), 17 goals meant to bring well-being to the world. With an ambitious deadline set at 2030, these 17 goals show where global powers will focus their efforts in the next 6.5 years. This week's new declaration seeks to accelerate progress and engage more stakeholders, including local authorities, the private sector, foundations, and philanthropic organizations. You do not need to be the United Nations to contribute to the SDGs. The Ralph Wilson Park Conservancy sees our work down at the former LaSalle Park as an effort towards the future these goals envision. The new park will be a sustainable, community greenspace in line with SDG 11.
