American Rare Earths Limited (ASX:ARR, OTCQB:ARRNF) has generated soil sampling results of up to 6,221 parts per million (ppm) total rare earth oxide (TREO) from the Cowboy State Mine area of the Halleck Creek Rare Earth Element (REE) project in Wyoming, US. Samples represent the potential for high-grade REE mineralisation with a TREO content 64% higher than that considered in current mine planning and a recent scoping study (3,805 ppm TREO), offering an opportunity for a larger, higher-grade REE deposit close to those already established by the company. The newly identified mineralised zone has high potential to add to the recently upgraded mineral resource for the project, which sits at 2.34 billion tonnes at 3,196 ppm TREO at a 1,000 ppm TREO cut-off. Riversgold Limited Strikes Gold and Copper Treasures at Tambourah Project (ASX: RGL) David Lenigas, Riversgold’s Chairman, commented on the results: “These exceptional results are a tremendously exciting development for RGL’s Tambourah Project. Achieving copper and gold results of this calibre is highly encouraging, and discovering surface evidence of mineralisation over a potential 12km strike is indeed very exciting. We have been concentrating on the copper and gold potential at Tambourah for some time now as part of our broader exploration strategy.” “These new and highly significant surface results, which were sampled by Technical Director, Ed Mead, during his last site visit, have the potential to amplify and further drive exploration in the area. Importantly, on ground geology has identified several gabbro intrusions that may be the source of this newly identified mineralisation. We plan to have people back on the ground in the coming weeks to continue with exploration.” Read our article below: https://lnkd.in/g6aGjuN5 #gold #copper #mining #geology #resources #rgl #asx

At Murchison Minerals' BMK Project in Saskatchewan, we’ve identified two VMS trends: the 37km long BMK trend and a secondary trend known as the McIvor VMS trend. As our VP Exploration John Shmyr explains, at BMK we see a lot of similarities with other large VMS mining camps in the world. Specifically the Bathurst camp. Because BMK has high zinc grades, we may be seeing zone refining. Essentially, this suggests a very efficient VMS deposit, where you end up with a kind of a zinc-rich cap of massive sulfides. And then beneath the zinc cap, a zone called the copper stockwork. We've defined the massive sulfide horizon, but have yet to identify the copper stockwork. Transcript ↓ [John Shmyr] ...So 10 kilometres to the south on that trend we’e made a discovery of mineralization where we intersected 2 lenses of mineralization at our Main Lake zone. We're only a few holes in there looking to grow that we've got a significant amount of alteration on those holes. We think we're really starting to see a really large system. So continuing to drive that forward. And then we have our Betty target. That's a kilometre to the north of the BMK deposit. We've intersected mineralization there. Again, only a couple of holes in, we intersected 1.33% copper, 4.4% zinc and 12.95 grams per tonne silver. And that's over a meter or 0.92 metres but you know, looking to continue to grow that because we see the kind of similar alteration at The Betty target as we do BMK, and then that's, you know, and continue to explore along that horizon. So with that, we went back in 2023 when we brought in Dr. Stephen J. Piercey as our lead technical advisor to rebuild that geologic model and thesis that we have on the project. So, we went back and we did systematic resampling, a lot of the drill holes, redefining the geology. First off, we've seen a lot more favorable volcaniclastic rocks than what we previously identified. We see a lot of similarities with some of the other largest VMS mining camps in the world in our geology, specifically the Bathurst camp. it's a similar type felsic siliciclastic type hosted deposit. One thing that's got us quite excited is the BMK deposit, and I'll be going into a bit more detail, but it's got fantastic zinc rates. And the only way to get those zinc rates that high is through something called zone refining. Essentially, it's a very efficient VMS deposit, where you end up with a kind of a zinc rich cap of massive sulfides. And then beneath that, you'll have concentrated your copper and deposited, and that's called the copper stockwork. And these are very typical of VMS deposits. And we've defined that massive sulfide horizon, but we haven't identified that copper stockwork. So that's – we're excited about the regional potential, but we're also really excited about kind of more near term into the deposit in identifying that copper stockwork. /end #copper Full video → https://lnkd.in/ghGSsc7T

Supporting Taranis Resources Thor Project after retired & selling 1st Drive-Thru at Dave Hill Pharmacy Inc. in 2017. On non-profits: BoD of Vista Ridge All-Season's Park: since 1995;& Wood Buffalo Wellness Soc: 2007
Great explanation article on Taranis Resources (TRO) THOR Project in SE BC, South of Revelstoke at Trout Lake, that I'm involved with and have visited the site 4 times in the last few years. Drill results TBA as nearly 300 holes drilled since 2007 when Taranis bought the historical 5 mines from the T. Eaton Estate (polymetallic high-grade Ag/Au/Cu/Pb/Zn etc), and the DEEP drilling also was done this summer to potentially hit the porphyry(s) down below that MobilMT showed in 3D. Also, more land acquired! De-risked with a great TEAM of committed Insiders, Project, backers, low share price, tightly held with great upside potential. Looking for 'THE ELEPHANT'. #mining #miningnews #mobilMT #copper #gold #silver #miningindustry #mineralexploration #SILGA #BCmining #amebc #newmont #goldmining #coppermining #silvermining #ame #preciousmetals #geology #geoscience #Taranis CLICK on link to read:

The Kiruna Mining District, 200km north of the Arctic Circle in Sweden, is well known for the giant Kiruna Iron-Oxide-Apatite (IOA) deposit. The district has a long history of iron production extending back to the late 1800s. Less well known are the #copper deposits that are spatially associated with Kiruna. New work by both researchers and explorationists is providing a better understanding of the complicated relationships in these Paleoproterozoic rocks. A shift in mindset is allowing for new perspectives and an opportunity for #discovery. Following on from our last episode, #44 of #DiscoveryToRecovery completes our two-part series on northern Sweden. We first talked to Leslie Logan, PhD candidate at Luleå University of Technology. Her study focuses on the #tectonic framework of the Svecokarelian greenstone belt and uses a #mineral systems approach to understand mineral occurrences in the district. The origin of the copper deposits has long been debated. Leslie’s work provides new #data and interpretation to understand the origins and relationship of the deposits with each other. Our second guest was Marcello Imaña, Chief Geologist from Copperstone Resources to talk about the history of Viscaria Cu-Fe deposit which is immediately adjacent to the giant Kiruna IOA deposit. #Mining at Viscaria was carried out from 1982 to 1997. Most recently, Copperstone Resources acquired the deposit and are aiming to be in full production again in 2026 after a very successful exploration phase. Their secret was going to an old place with new ideas. Marcello shares how they changed their mindsets staying away from #models and relying on what they saw in the rocks. He believes that successful efforts at Viscaria will transform and promote the Kiruna Mining District for copper. https://lnkd.in/gsMUX_Pn
