We've been busy working with the Breedon Group plc in developing mixer familiarisation training as part of our Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) accredited MixerSURE© program. As part of the development, we've also incorporated the training into the EMPI Awards SVCA© (On-Road) (Mixers) vocational qualification, bringing the world's first VQ for eMixers, regulated by SQA – Scottish Qualifications Authority. Working with the Putzmeister United Kingdom and SANY Group operational manuals, these bespoke products confirm Breedon's commitment to decarbonisation and safety. Having previously worked with TVS Interfleet and Renault Trucks UK in developing eMixer familiarisation training, we are proud to support the industry in providing dedicated specialist training and qualifications for electric vehicles. If you'd like to find out more, please email mark@dekgroupne.com. To discuss your training needs, email our training partners Logico at training@teamlogico.co.uk or call 01325 952887
Breedon are doing fantastic things, Mark, and are an incredible business that I greatly admire. Keep doing what you do best to help them get even better, Jimbo.
Responsible Officer at EMPI Awards
2moWhilst some speak loudly and at length about the importance of 'relevant standards', 'effective collaboration', and 'partner organisations', those that can are simply getting on with it. EMPI Awards have developed two regulated Vocational Qualifications (VQs) for specialist transport & logistics vehicles, with more to follow. The SVCA (not to be confused with NOS based NVQs - which have been around for 40+ years now) are dynamic, comprehensive tests of actual skills in real world environments. It is not an online course. It is not a multiple choice test of knowledge, it is a much needed competence assessment.
