Salaried GP vacancy appears at practice that made three GPs redundant. News has emerged of a salaried GP position being advertised at a practice that previously made headlines for making three of its GPs redundant. No matter how we examine the stories that have surfaced from this currently troubled practice over the past six months, it's evident that chronic underfunding is the root cause of many, if not all, of these issues. And when struggling to manage any fast-paced, high-risk environment business like a GP practice, the Trojan horse gift of inflexible, prescriptive ARRS funding can turn an already complicated situation into a tragedy for some employees that even the ancient Greeks would have struggled to come up with. With more salaried GPs having departed since the initial redundancies, this practice requires our empathy and support to ensure it can continue to provide the best possible service to its patients, and that all its staff members remain hopeful that the ongoing struggles will end soon. Did you know that if you change jobs, you may still be able to receive CT Paid Leave benefits? As long as you were working for a covered employer at some point during the 12 weeks preceding your leave and you meet the minimum earnings requirement, you may still qualify. Remember, applying for and/or receiving CT Paid Leave benefits does not guarantee your job protected leave. In order to receive job protected leave, you'll need to apply directly to your employer for job protected leave under the Family and Medical Leave Acts.
