🌟 A BANDwidth Event: Future Forge – Establishing connections and building relationships.🌟 BAND is thrilled to introduce a fresh networking initiative spearheaded by our very own Tom Dovaston, a 23-year-old accounts executive with a vision… Aimed at professionals in the early stages of their careers, this event will break the mould of traditional networking. 📅 Mark Your Calendar: March 21st, at the Alchemist, Bevis Street, Central London. Why This Matters: In professional services, from accounting to property, building a solid network is as crucial as gaining experience. What to Expect: Forget the formalities. These gatherings are about fostering genuine connections in a laid-back atmosphere. No dress code, no pressure – just an opportunity to meet like-minded individuals ready to support each other through career challenges and opportunities. 🤝 The Bigger Picture: This event is about building a collaborative community of ambitious young professionals ready to grow together, share insights and unlock potential opportunities. At the NPA Summit, accessibility isn’t just a priority—it’s a commitment. We believe all product thinkers should have the opportunity to participate and share with the community, regardless of financial background. That's why we offer tiered ticket pricing and a limited number of community-supported tickets for members of historically marginalized communities at no cost. Our approach has made a real impact: 🌟 “Being part of a small team in Venezuela and facing lots of challenges makes this event extremely helpful because it opens our eyes to a whole new world of possibilities. The chance to understand how a team should work, how can we improve our workflows, and how can we use the correct tools is very valuable.” We want you to choose the ticket option that ensures you can attend the Summit. Whether you're part of a legacy outlet with full support or an independent journalist, there's a place for you. Save your spot and join us on October 11! https://lnkd.in/ggA-g5y

Connections and business relationships are so critical to any professional - your network being your net-worth and all that. Please do check this out if you are a young professional looking for a relaxed, but intentional, way of building your own network. If I weren't so long in the tooth myself, I would definitely be signing up for this. #youngprofessionals #networking #connectionandcollaboration

Attending industry conferences is not only beneficial for networking and learning but can also offer tax advantages 💯 If you're a property manager, remember that registration fees, travel costs, lodging, and even meals during a business-related conference can often be deducted as business expenses. Ensure you keep detailed records and consult with a tax professional to maximize your deductions legally and effectively. Don't miss out on these potential tax savings that can help reduce the overall cost of attending conferences! 🙌

With our first conference coming up on February 21st next year we’re starting to think about some of the practices and protocols around it that might add to the conversation and learning. One of the first things we’re looking at is how we manage money for the conference itself, and our plan is to completely open up the income and expenditure so that anyone (who’s interested) can see a detailed breakdown at any point. We believe that this will feed into the discussions around trust and transparency but we’re also interested in how it might shape behaviour, particularly around what's left over when the core costs are paid. Before we start, we’re looking for examples of where this has been done before, whether it’s related to conferences or other, relevant areas. Let us know in the comments if you know of anything we might learn from.
