Welcome to Monte Financial Group, LLC, Jake Cedor! We are excited to have Jake join the team as a Paraplanner in our Wealth Management division. Jake will play a key part in supporting our Wealth Advisors throughout the financial planning process and assisting with client service initiatives as he works toward becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. Jake is enrolled in the Dual-Degree Accelerated 3+1 Program at Quinnipiac University and recently completed his Bachelor of Science in International Business with a minor in Economics. Beginning this fall, he will work full-time during the day while pursuing his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at night. We look forward to advancing our firm's growth and development together. Welcome Jake!

Last Friday, Bob Monte, CPWA®, RMA®, CAP® and Madelyn Monte volunteered at the Guilford Art Center Craft Expo on the Guilford Green, assisting at the ticket gates. The turnout was incredible, and it was amazing to see so many people supporting the Guilford Art Center (GAC) and the talented artists! This annual event, hosted by GAC, a non-profit dedicated to promoting visual arts, showcases top artisans from across the country. This celebration of the arts has become a signature event for the town of Guilford and the Connecticut shoreline. The Craft Expo supports all GAC educational programs throughout the year, offering a wide range of classes catered to all ages. Thank you to Maureen Belden and the GAC team for this opportunity. Don't forget to visit their year-round shop for handcrafted items by American artisans!

Last week, Bob Monte, CPWA®, RMA®, CAP® was invited to speak at the annual board meeting for the Estate and Tax Planning Council of Eastern Connecticut, Inc. The event was held at the Great Neck Country Club in Waterford, CT. It was a wonderful opportunity to network with the members and to present our view of the economy and financial markets. Thank you to Tim Fogarty, Esq., CTFA of Dime Bank & Trust and the rest of the board for arranging this luncheon!  

Thank you, Zachary Rotkowitz and Paul Heilbronn, for all your hard work this spring! As Equity Research Interns, both Zach and PJ used the Bloomberg terminal to complete tasks related to economics, markets, and company specific analysis. They both leveraged the Advanced Bloomberg Query language to complete an automated analysis and learned our research process to complete an industry earnings analysis. Both Zach and PJ are a part of the Dual-Degree Accelerated 3+1 Program at Quinnipiac University. Our team wishes you both the best of luck with the rest of your spring semester!

Benjamin Monte was invited to participate in the 8th Annual Finance Conference held by the Finance Society at the University of Connecticut. The conference theme was “AI in the Finance Industry,” with panels focused on Investment Banking, Investment Management, and AI. Ben had the opportunity to sit on the Investment Management panel and speak about his experiences within the industry. Thank you to the UConn Finance Society for putting on such a great event! 

Yesterday morning, the Monte Financial Group team volunteered at Connecticut Foodshare, a critical supplier in the food distribution network throughout the state for individuals and families in need. We were able to sort 10,878 pounds of produce, which equates to roughly 9,065 meals. Last year, Connecticut Foodshare distributed enough food to provide over 40 million meals through a network of more than 650 community-based hunger relief programs, including food pantries, meal programs, and mobile food pantries. Thank you to the organizers at Connecticut Foodshare, we look forward to participating again soon!
