Montgomery Township, PA’s Post

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation PennDOT announced today that a truck detour will begin on Monday for westbound Route 463 Horsham Road truck traffic under a $14.2 million project to improve travel and safety at the Route 309 Bethlehem Pike, Route 463 Horsham Road/Cowpath Road, and Business U.S. 202 Doylestown Road Intersection, commonly referred to as the Five-Points Intersection, in Montgomery Township, Montgomery County. Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction: • Monday, August 19, through spring 2025, trucks traveling westbound on Route 463 Horsham Road will not have right hand turn access to Business U.S. 202 Doylestown Road for intersection reconstruction and widening. During the detour, westbound Route 463 Horsham Road trucks will be directed to use the U.S. 202 Parkway and County Line Road. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near and through the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent. The Five Points Intersection is tentatively scheduled to be closed on Sunday, August 25, from 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning for large overhead sign removal.
