We're halfway through 2024, which sadly means approximately 150,000 more men have been diagnosed with prostate cancer this year. You can make a difference for these patients by giving to our limited-time matching gift fund! The Schwartz Family has stepped forward to match every donation – dollar for dollar – made to ZERO Prostate Cancer, up to $10,000. But you must act fast – this matching gift expires at midnight tomorrow. Our goal is to secure funding that will allow all patients to access help as they face their diagnoses. Give at zerocancer.org/give-now. #ZEROProstateCancer

It's World Cancer Day. This year, the Alberta Cancer Foundation is shining a light on the economic challenges of facing a cancer diagnosis. Once diagnosed with cancer, an individual could require medical and specialized care for months (if not years). A recent study concluded that the economic burden of cancer in Canada, including travel and accommodation costs, parking, out-of-pocket expenses and income loss averages, could be be as high as $2,500/month per patient. It's particularly challenging for those who have to travel far distances for treatments, which is frankly the reality for many. That's where the Alberta Cancer Foundation Patient Financial Assistance program comes in. It's to provide a little boost for those facing a difficult cancer diagnosis who might have to travel for treatments, arrange child care or perhaps lose employment income. Entirely funded by generous donors, it's all about Albertans helping Albertans.
Today, on World Cancer Day, your generosity can go twice as far! Support our Patient Financial Assistance Program, offering crucial relief for eligible Albertans facing cancer, like Michael Kosterman. Your impact means everything to the eligible families affected by cancer in every community across the province. This includes Michael, an acute myeloid leukemia survivor from Duchess, Alberta. Thanks to an anonymous donor, every donation made today will be matched, up to $200,000, to have double the impact for this incredibly important program. Please give generously: https://lnkd.in/g-PpEqci #Albertacancer #WorldCancerDay2024 #PatientFinancialAssistance #Costofcancer #Givetoday

Exciting News! 🏃♂️💪 I'm thrilled to share that I'll be running in the London Marathon on 27th of April 2025 to support Young Lives Vs Cancer, a fantastic charity that helps children and young people fight cancer. This cause is incredibly close to my heart, and I'm determined to make a difference. But I can't do it alone—I need your help! 🙌 You can support me and this amazing cause by donating through my fundraising page: https://lnkd.in/eK4JaEaN Every donation, no matter how small, will make a big difference in the lives of these brave young fighters and their families. Please share this post and help spread the word. Together, we can make a real impact! Why I'm Running the Marathon for Young Lives Vs Cancer Charity: 1. Turning 30: As I approach my 30th birthday next year, I see this marathon as a milestone—a chance to achieve something truly extraordinary. 2. Supporting a Friend: A dear friend, who is my age, is battling cancer. Witnessing her struggle is heartbreaking, and it's a stark reminder of how unfair life can be. I want to use my good health and spirits to make a difference, supporting those who are less fortunate. 3 Challenging Myself: I am eager to push my boundaries and embrace new challenges. Running this marathon is a personal test of my limits and determination. #YoungLivesVsCancer #MarathonForCharity #RunningForACause #FightCancer #DonateNow

DONATE in a way that suits you. 2 in 5 Canadians in their life will get Cancer. Help us bring a world where everybody lives longer, better lives free from the fear of cancer. Small amounts add up. Every dollar matters. But when you make a regular donation, even if it’s a small amount, your impact builds up over time to help more people like Carlos. Help save more lives, like Mei Ling. Your donations support thousands of researchers, clinicians and nurses to transform how to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, bringing hope to millions of people like Mei-Ling, now and in the future. Hope grows when you give to those in need. Your generosity not only provides nourishment, but is also the first step towards programs and services that transform lives. Help break the cycle. Give today. Your generosity creates practical steps toward a hopeful tomorrow. Thank you. https://lnkd.in/g8TNiJWN www.ecfweb.org
