#feinsider #nissanproud #nissanemployee Know about Formula E (post-2) Practice, qualifying and the race is scheduled mostly over one day Unlike other championships that spread themselves over three days, most of the Formula E schedule takes place on race day. There’s one half an hour practice on Friday evenings for teams, just to get a feel for the tracks we race on, but all the big moments happen on race day which is often a Saturday or Sunday. You might think, that’s a lot to pack into one day, and you’d be right! A second practice session is slotted in for the morning, which is followed by qualifying and then the race. In between sessions, there are also various track activities, medical inspections as well as drivers having commitments like debriefs and autograph sessions for the fans. There’s no denying race day is a busy one, but if you’re on the ground at the race it means that there’s always something to see or do! So here we are, race week for a Grand Prix that could legitimately claim to be the most highly anticipated in history. The Las Vegas GP represents Formula 1's biggest bet on the US to date. Fuelled by the growth in interest in the sport over the last few years, they have taken on promotion of a race for the first time, which has brought with it some significant challenges. Costs of over $500m, including a $240m purchase of land for the pit garages, team areas and hospitality, have been higher than forecast, whilst the logistical challenges of hosting a prime time Saturday night race in the "entertainment capital of the world" have been complex to say the least. Whilst some may consider the event to be a big risk, the rewards could also be huge. It's being predicted that having the F1 circus in town will bring $1.2bn to the Las Vegas economy, a pretty astounding number. Product & Training Specialist 🔵 Tell us who Dylan is: I am a fun loving sort of guy with a crooked sense of humour, who doesn't mind the odd Dad joke or ten (thankfully actually becoming a Dad has helped make this ever so slightly more acceptable, depending on who you ask). Also known in the team for having the keys to Bathurst or the guy who can drive fast due to my previous racing exploits and ability to remain unbeaten in work go-karting or racing simulator competitions. Basically if I can drive it on a race track I'm usually interested in it. 🔴 What do you enjoy most about working at LIQUI MOLY? I enjoy working with our team. I think we have a great group of people in LIQUI MOLY and I always enjoy interactions with my colleagues. I must also say that genuinely loving the product goes a long way as well! 🔵What do you do away from work to relax? What we can learn from Formula 1 🏎️ 🏆 From her very first Australian Grand Prix in March this year, Bree Delaney headed to Singapore this week, where she witnessed her hero's win #landonorris. Here's a couple things she has noticed/learned from being trackside: 🤝Teamwork makes the dream work. Watching a crew swap out 4 tyres in the space of 2 seconds (1.8 if you're McLaren 🧡) at a pit stop is nothing short of miraculous 🛠️ In the thick of the dirty work is where the real magic happens. Even though the drivers are the face of the sport, the engineers + technicians are constantly working to repair, improve + upgrade the car so it's competitive to race 💎 Nothing worth having comes easy. Formula 1 teams are always pushing the limits, + sometimes they fail. But, they continue to innovate + resolve issues to try to create the fastest car on the grid In the words of recent 2024 British Grand Prix winner, Sir Lewis Hamilton, “In racing there are always things you can learn, every single day. There is always space for improvement, and I think that applies to everything in life." The parallels to business performance abound. Intrigued?
