"As women are taking on more leadership roles in an evolving, but still flexible, environment, we need to make sure that we're intentional about what we're doing, and that we're changing the way we lead to best fit where work is going." In the latest American Management Association AMA Quarterly, our CMO Samantha Goldman shares her perspective on how female leaders can build a better future for hybrid work. https://bit.ly/3VIB1mS

File this under: Bad for business. "For the first time in over two decades, there were fewer women in c-suite roles in 2023 than there were in 2022, and the pace of growth in a broader swath of senior leadership jobs was the slowest in more than a decade." The time for change is now. Join us in the Women in Trust community to play an active role in shifting the leadership dynamics in our industry. https://lnkd.in/g5eJMqZN

Today is International Women's Day. Let's take a moment to reflect on this quote - "One woman can make a difference, but together we can rock the world". It's time for us to come together and make a concerted effort to support, lift up, and recognize women for their contributions and impact. Did you know that despite making up 58.4% of the US workforce, only 35% of women hold senior leadership positions? And in Fortune 500 companies, only 10.5% of leadership positions are held by women. Even on S&P Boards of Directors, only 30% are women. However, companies with women executives are 30% more likely to outperform other companies. That's why this year's International Women's Day theme is so appropriate - “Invest in women: Accelerate progress”. Let's make it a priority to invest in and support women in leadership positions, and watch as progress accelerates. #InternationalWomensDay #InvestInWomen #AccelerateProgress

Happy International Women's Day! This year's theme is.... 'Inspire Inclusivity', highlighting the pivotal role women play in shaping our world. One significant aspect of this celebration is acknowledging the importance of having women in leadership positions. In the UK, however, the statistics paint a less-than-ideal picture, with only 32% of women occupying leadership roles. To shed light on this issue we have asked our Sales & Marketing Manager ★Stacey Humm ★ and Operations Manager Charlie Allen a crucial question: what is their experience like being in leadership positions? Let's dive into their insightful responses and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and wins they face on this journey... #iwd2024

Nobody Should Have The SAME Box 📦 The pursuit of equality for women is a journey marked with unique challenges. Although many women have made significant resilient strides in recent years, there are some barriers that feel harder to break. I really resonate with this point made by Kerry Washington. As women, we often tend to believe that equality means “one-size fits all”. But the truth is, everyone is different and we don’t all start from the same place. 🎯 The key takeaway words for me from this video is, “presence, awareness, patience, vulnerability and listening”. So where do you start? ✅ Having self-awareness ✅Understanding your motivators, stressors and communication style allows you to recognise your unique needs. Seek to understand yourself first; you’re then able to understand how to support the experiences, perspectives, and challenges of others.. Tomorrow, I will be speaking and presenting at The National Women in Leadership Conference 2024. 😁 Details: Date: 7 March 2024 Venue: 5Hatfields, Chadwick Court, London SE1 8DJ Registration link: https://lnkd.in/eY6mfE2T As International Women's Day is this Friday, let's celebrate the progress of women 🌸 #selfawareness #womenempowerment #personaldevelopment #leadership

"Examining female leadership in the FTSE100, and how they communicate, brings home just how limited gender diversity is at the top of the UK corporate world. But our research also offers signs of hope – people want to hear from these women and engage with their content, particularly on sustainability and innovation, topics that will transform and change the business world. At the same time, female leaders have the chance to create greater rapport with their following through more personal content." Kekst CNC's Amelia Putt for NewDigitalAge on what our data says about female FTSE 100 CEOs on LinkedIn, and what all leaders can learn from their example: https://lnkd.in/eW6Tn86X

The latest report from the AllBright Foundation, 'Alone at the Top', highlights the slow yet continuous progress in the representation of women on German executive boards. Since September 2022, the percentage of women increased by more than 3 percentage points, yet the majority of companies continue to appoint only one woman to their executive boards. This trend reflects a new norm that is insufficient for driving genuine cultural change within corporations. Martina Wiedemeier, Principal Consultant at MU, gives her view on this in her article "Women in Leadership Positions: Progress and Challenges – Insights from the AllBright September 2023 Report". Access it via the link in the comments.

3wSamantha Goldman I appreciated the part about your structured Monday check-ins with direct reports. Remote work requires intentionality…vs. in-office leaders might rely on spontaneous run-ins with the most visible and able people.
