It’s just not serving us the way we want it to. We have forgotten how to serve one another, and it shows. When we look at our colleagues, and even our fellow coworkers as competition or “other” as in “that department is so ____” fill in the blank, we miss out on opportunities to create belonging, collaboration, and innovation. A clear strategy ↳ That could also be adaptable as conditions change. 3. A foundation of good values ↳ That drive positive behaviour. 4. Risk versus performance attitude ↳ A healthy balance of both. 5. Effective conflict management ↳ A culture of coaching and development. You see. I realised early on that this race wasn't a race of ten boats. It was a race of ten teams. It wasn't the best group of sailors who were going to win. It was the team that were going to do the high performing "stuff" the best. Just like your team.
